Its hard to rip on a team when they're winning...even if the games are ugly. After a game like last night, Carlyle probably had some choice words for the team about their effort.

yes agreed irrelevant to the loss - Patrick Roy and Ken Dryden playing the pipes at the same time last night wouldn't have helped the leafs. SCARY is the word for how they've played the last couple!!!!! Play like that in the playoffs and it's 4 and out...guaranteed.

yes I said that yesterday on the hab thread...better now than the last 2 or 3 games going into the playoffs...it will just suck for both the habs and the leafs if they sink and continue losing and end up with 6th,7th or 8th place finish.

Whoever faces the Caps is going to be in tough IMHO - Holtby is playing ok and the Caps have some confidence and of course Ovie is back playing like he can.

In defense of the two clubs, it is actually pretty damn awesome that a loss or two constitutes a slump for us. We've been playing some great hockey.

I hate Buffalo, but it would cool if all 5 NE Division teams got in. Washington can go put up 100 points playing in Florida 68 times a year, but this might just be the best division in hockey right now.

I know this is funny and it is but I always question the reasoning behind creating these "house of cards" displays in stores. They're just asking for something like to this to happen. Even during store hours all it takes is for one customer to just lightly brush up against that thing for it come down.
