I don't think any of us should be surprised about this game. Toronto is one of the worst teams in the league on the second half of a back to back. Losing one like this probably isn't the worst thing that could happen to them going into the playoffs. They've been playing with some bad habits lately and they've been getting away with it. I'd rather see them fail now and work on their issues than have this happen in game 1.
- Jeffmt

Yeah, every team needs a good ass whooping now and again.

If we're going to lose, may as well do it right. And truth be told, even Lupul could use a game or two to get his timing back.

In other news, 2x concentrated Dawn cleans twice as many dishes as the leading non-concentrated brand.

This was kind of predictable and they are kind of due.

Given how they have played the last few weeks I really cant get too upset

Time for Reimer?

Nah give Scrivens his minutes. Carlyle ripping them during the intermission will do the same as a goalie change, no point putting your starter in this mess.

I wouldn't. Don't wanna wreck his shut-out streak.

They're 3-4 (looking to be 3-5) on second halves of back to back, not great, but hardly one of the worst in the league

It's not our night tonight, but it's not the Rangers night and Winnipeg is iffy. Brian Boyle knocked out of the Rangers game. A big loss for them. I'll take the loss, as long as the Rangers and Jets lose.
- PrinceLH

You know, with the Caps winning tonight (unless the Leafs turn it around) and a Jets loss, at least it'll be harder for the Jets to take their division/they'll have to sneak into 8th if they wanna get to the playoffs

This, let's hope this puts a hop in their step like the 6-0 game did for MTL.

Well yeah, obviously my point doesn't look so good if you start throwing fancy numbers at me. Go to Yost's thread.

I say they ought to just make it ugly. Get your victories where you can get them.

This building would get awfully quiet with Ovechkin laying on the ice.

Clearly somthing is going wrong. Maybe JC is mad that we didn't start said homeboy. But if he's making us lose this game because he's angry.. isnt that wrath?

I'm for this. Lets draw some blood and make it fun for the rest of the game.

The above statement has nothing to do with the fact that my brother is a Caps fan, and never have I been so happy that the (frank)er is 7 time zones away and asleep right now

NO WAY. I hope the Jets lose tonight so the Leafs can have a big comeback game vs the Isles & it would be nice to clinch a playoff spot on home ice.

I'm surprisingly not too worried about that. After last year's collapse I'm sure this loss is nothing

Lost in all this turnaround talk is that Washington plays division 2 hockey.
