2. It does if they eat a reasonable amount say 1 or 1.5 per year. I said 20% of his salary which would be 1.34 per year in salary and about 1 in cap space. That would gain them over 4 million in space that they desperately need.

They will get "something" for him.. they may have to take salary back. But it won't require them "piling on a bunch of young cheap assets" to get the deal done.

And CS has given lots of praise to Luongo for helping his development... Markstrom needs at least 2 full seasons being a back up.. and hopefully to a goalie that can actually teach him some stuff. A guy like Luongo would do wonders for his development. But I do agree.. it would just end up putting Florida in the same position Canucks are!

So I don't think Florida is the best team for Lu.. but it will be an option I'm sure.

Well I believe Ballard, Booth and Lu will be gone next year. Whether it is trades, buy out, or waivers. They will be gone.
