Anyone see the anthem in Boston tonight? It was amazing

Better yet, after the Sabres win in the SO, both teams come out and salute the fans...that was pretty cool..

I'd love to see these match-ups. I'd also love to see the Rangers bounce the Pens out in the first round.

I always fear an 8th seed that has had a play off like atmosphere weeks before the season ends...has them more mentally prepared.

The way this Hawks team is playing I don't worry about it, they have that certain chip on your shoulder and swagger that winners have

That's not out of the question. The Rangers can play and Fluery is far from a sure thing

True, but don'you think the hawks have been playing teams that were either A. Looking to knock them off their streak during the 1st half and B. playing teams now that are fighting either to get intothe playoffs or fighting for position.

If this iisn't a test of testicular fortitude, I am not sure what is.

Yes! But it also shows how dominant they have been at 5 on 5 and the pk. That is a blemish I can accept. If they were in the top 15, would they have lost a game..... speculation, nothing else.

Your point was mental toughness in a team just barely getting in to the playoffs. My point was being on top of the hill and having everyone gunning for you and prevailing. I will take this team over the Kings last season.

Like STL pointed out though, Orr padded his totals in an era with 6 full expansion teams.
- philco28

I don't like to compare players from different era's but in the 80's there were more teams....The argument could be made the quality wasn't as good as with only 12 teams.

So I don't buy the water down idea...

Many of the stats that were kept in the Gretzky era were not kept during much of the time Orr played.

Wow, now you're really making me dig deep Al!
My recollection, foggy as it is -- I believe the original TACKS were something on the order of $200 and I recall the Super TACKS (the 1st pair, all black with the same blade setup as the originals was on the order of $300). Of course, this was a boatload of dinero back then (early 70's).

If you are really interested, I can grab some shots and post them. Both those pairs in particular are in really nice condition. I can still recall putting the shiny stuff on the toe caps of the originals to keep them in better condition.

Oh man, you are really taking me back on a ride down memory lane!
Thanks Al.

"Bare" as in naked? Are you sharing personal, private details you shouldn't be sharing?
