I wouldn't want to face St. Louis or Columbus. Bobs in Columbus could pull a Mike Smith! |

Hammer has really improved. He seems quicker than the previous two seasons.
Kaner's 1 on 4 routine gets old at times. - eburgio

To be honest I'm not worried who finished 8th. My only concern is that the Blackhawks start the playoffs playing their best hockey of the season and are healthy. We match up well against any team in the West, especially if everyone is playing at the top of their game. Our roster may not be perfect, but there aren't many that can match our depth (when healthy). Our 4th line would be the 3rd line on most teams and our 3rd could be the 2nd.
Saad - Toews - Hossa
Sharp - Bolland - Kane
Bickell - Shaw - Stalberg
Handzus - Kruger - Frolik
Carcillo, Bollig
Keith - Hjalmarsson
Leddy - Seabrook
Oduya - Rozsival
Brookbank
Crawford
Emery
Its funny how cyclical hockey can be. In 2010 we had an embarrassment of riches when it came to depth. In the following 2 seasons we underperformed due to a lack of depth. Now we're back to having a great level of depth.
Anything can happen in the playoffs, running into a hot goalie can turn your playoff dreams into a nightmare. But I can to give Stan and the rest of the management credit for putting/keeping together a team with this depth now and the future. By no means is this team perfect, but none are. At least this team has a legitimate shot at the cup now and likely for a couple of years. As fans this is what we want, a winning competitive team that makes us believe we can win it all (again). - DarthKane
Ever think of permanently throwing kane at first line RW? Toews Hossa and Saad all play similar games and kane could be thrown in as a finisher. Also will give him better than a 3C playing 2C.

you mean anatomically? Not sure, have not had a chance to be in the locker room with him in his skivies.
Good question, tho. (no, not really).

CBJ needs to make it into the playoffs first. Gonna be tough for them, they may have the hardest schedule left. 4 of remaining 5 on road against ANA, LA, SJS and DAL.
Nashville officially eliminated last night. Does Trotz survive going forward or is he the sacrificial lamb? |

Sacrificial lamb for a craptastic roster? Tell the GM to provide some talent on the offensive side of the game first.

Gaustad for 1st has not really worked out. Choosing Weber over Suter is not looking good at all right now. I am sure there are other misfires I am leaving out.

well, we'll soon find out once the playoffs start, with this deep team, probably no room for 13 & 52. so seabrooke WILL "have to be THE MAN" once the refs put their whistles away and let the players decide the outcome. it's easy for us to go back to sundays game and say"just do it like that," now you are playing every other night, the same type of games, taking a good physical fast pace pounding, same goes for that other sleepwalker,#29 ! & yes I know he'll step it up till it is "signed ,sealed & delivered!"
as far as who to face in round 1? bring em all on! doesn't make a difference, as long as they answer back the bull crap.no one can match this teams skill ! |

I still think that was the better move for the long term. Suter may be having a better season but I'd still rather have Weber. |

I would tend to agree but Weber looks lost out there. not even remotely the same player. I almost get the feeling he wanted NSH to not match the offer and its showing in his play. |

thats because they wanted "goose" to do too much. his role is 3,4 center. I wanted him last year at the deadline. he would have been perfect for this team.
I think SB could have got him cheaper than nashville did. he probably told his agent to make them over pay if they want him to stay over the summer.
Goose maybe kicking him self in the ass now for staying there.
hopefully trotz isn't the sac.lamb! would loose all respect for their org. maybe nashville doesn't have the economic resources for long term & they are the 1's to move to Quebec, yes/no? |

bollands play has picked up as of late and i think last night he won i think 15 of 20 faceoffs i do believe, i think he senses playoffs coming and its the time when he plays well. as far as 1rst round goes would be nice to see detroit 1 more time before they head east, would be a good series to watch |

If only Kane was a finisher. You have a line full of playmakers then. Plus, you'll be limiting Hossa by having him with Bolland. Hossa is most effective when on a line with Toews or anyone with elite passing skills. |

He really is a big wimp for not throwing down with that scrub on the Stars who fed him last month.
Picking up 2 points and damaging a teams playoff chance is OK, but I really needed to see Seabrook fight someone who doesn't matter at all. That rematch is all that really counted last night and Seabrook let us down. |

Weber's bomb from the point would look good on our powerplay. No one respects our shooters. That is why Keith hits so many shin pads -no one is afraid to stand in front of his shot.
Weber does need a good partner who can set him up for those shots though. That's what he is lacking this year. |

Not cool at all. What a wuss. Put in Brookbank if Feabs isn't going to drop 'em! Has HB put in the sarcasm font yet? Don't see it anywhere... |

ESPN shows him as 15-4 at the dot in last night's box score. ( http://espn.go.com/nhl/boxscore?gameId=400443101) Maybe he was practicing draws during the few games he sat. Maybe his back feels better. Maybe he got "a talking to". He's looked much better the past two games, though.

He didn't let me down. In fact I was yelling at him for that scuffle at the end of the game which he basically started. We don't need to risk injury in scraps and stick incidents especially not at the end of the game when the final result has already been determined. |
