What would you want Pominville to say? No I hate being here? God this place sucks? Who wouldnt think it was nice going from a team that's not likely to make the playoff season to a team that is. If you're a real hockey player all you really want to do is play and with the way the Sabres are right now he will play more in Minni.
Send Grigorenko to Rochester could actually help their playoff run. |

Cool.. he hasn't been terrible out there but it would be nice to keep the options open - SabresFaninIndiana
I think he was pretty terrible out there. If I wanted them to win any more games this year, I'd be screaming to sit him or send him to the A. Let him work his way up like any other prospect. If we bring him up now, when he's obviously not ready, I think it will hurt his overall development. He's not a sacred cow, nor should he be treated like one. |

Please put Grigs to the minors. I cannot stand to watch him have to try to set up Kaleta and John Scott
Patrick Roy for coach, Trade Vanek, Trade Miller and work the youngsters |

I have been saying that on here for a long time. Yes, it is, and that is why this team is/was so soft. With Rolston at the helm, I don't see that changing anytime soon. - druryisclutch
A team is a direct reflection of its leadership. If that leadership is coming from its former captain...this is what you have.
When the Sabres had strong leadership (Peca and Drury for example) we had very good teams. That isn't a coincidence. |

RR has Head Coach. Roy as Assistant. Keep Vanek, Trade Miller, trade Stafford. Slap the C on Ott...hope for the best. |

No way he doesnt get a head coaching gig. If its not here it will be in Colorado most likely. Roy's personalitly doesnt fit the role of an assistant coach especially under Rolston. |

100% Agree, let him be one of the stars of this re-build and make him feel like a leader. He looked uncomfortable in his first ride and assuming Miller and possibly Vanek will be gone they will need to have him step up.
I would still like to see Housley get a kick at the coaching can but would have no issues with Roy. And like many others I would love to see Dudley get the GM chair. |

If we miss the playoffs which is most likely gonna happen RR needs to be fired or sent back down to the AHL.
What has he done to earn his job for next season??? We are still losing.... The guy does NOT belong behind a NHL bench. That's why he was named INTERIM Coach. |

Armia's team lost game one of the SM-liiga finals with 5 seconds left in the game. He had no points. |

if he started the season and assume they earned the same amount of points per game as they have since he started they'd be in 6th |

I am assuming this is about Rudy? He hasnt been terrible. If you want to see terrible watch Leopolds stretch before he got benched.
He hasnt played a ton of minutes and hasnt taken many chances which is what you want from a young D. His play is similars to Pysk when he first got called up. You can see Pysk taking more chances with getting more ice time and being more comfortable at this level.
Let the kid play and see what he has. The other prospects haven't shown anything to deserve being up here and honestly they are on the last leg of the season about to start the playoffs. Let them play meaningful playoff games (Rudy just finished the NCAA tournament which is no easy task so he has big game experience this season) |

RR can keep his job in Rochester if he so desires but get him out of Buffalo. I say trade Vanek if the price is right, we may need to hold off on that until the next trade deadline since it's a contract year for him. I don't want Ott having the C if it means that he'll start downsizing his play to be more of a captain and less of what we love him for. |

Thats not how it works. He was named coach when we were in a hole... He didn't get us out. If we are rebuilding why not rebuild with new coaches and management "which looks doubtful though that Darcy gets fired". |

True but dont we want more than 6th? Nothing against Rolston or anything but don't we want more than being 6th? I personally would rather see a big name coach here than Rolston |

I don't mind RR as head coach. At least he changes things up and gets them to move their feet. I have questions about Roy. He hasn't taught Grigs how to play defense whatsoever. Didn't he already refuse one head coaching job because he's not ready? |

Rolston is a good coach, I do like him. However, we gave him a chance with plenty of room to work with and he failed to prove himself. I have no issues with keeping him on board as the Amerks coach but we need a personality change behind the bench, bring in Roy before the damn Avs get to him. |

When Ruff was fired we were 4 points out with 2 more games played then 8th and 9th.
Now with Rolston we are still 4 points out with 2 more GP then 8th...
Like I said If we miss the playoffs I cant see why we would keep him for next season.

He refused the Colorado job 3 years ago I believe. It wasnt recently. Grigs doesnt need to play defense in the Q. Honestly I could care less about his defensive play right now. We need scoring and scoring in the worst way. It was brought up on WGR today that look at Tavares. He is just now starting to play decent D and this is his 4th season. If we can get Grigorenko to score like he did then learn to play D I am all for it |

No way in hell do you put the C on a guy who blows kisses and licks someone's visor. I like Ott as a player but he shouldn't be the captain because of his antics. |

What will happen most likely in my opinion:
Housley as HC
Regier as GM
Ott as Captain
Vanek kept long term
Miller Traded and two of the three of Leggio/Hackett/Enroth split time in Buffalo
What should happen in my opinion:
Patrick Roy as Coach
Dudley as GM
Ott as Captain
Vanek traded if price is right but doesn't seem like he wants to stay anyway
Miller traded
and was Pominville's quotes meaning there is some cancer in the room? (Miller?) |
