any word yet on who is filling in for huskins?
- Don'tForgetTocchet

Hopefully Matt "Norris" Walker. Six games left, so he probably only needs 11 points a game to safely secure the scoring title. Shouldn't be an issue.

I agree. It even looks like Steckle tried to slide by/avoid Crosby but still caught him a bit with his shoulder while trying to move up ice with his team on a breakout.
- wolfhounds

That breakout would have occurred with about 1.5 seconds left. Still, I see it one way, it's cool if you guys see it the other way.

Are the Flyers interested in a top 5 pick, because it looks like we will have one to trade.
- Jeropotato

No, I'm sorry.. they are not interested in a top 5 pick.

Yeah, I suspect Gagner will get moved this summer, need a 2C replacement. Not sure if Couturier fits the bill, as the team will be looking for a C with size, defensive awareness and the ability to contribute more than 50 points annually. Gags has been great, he's just small and the Oil need to change the dynamic, meaning someone good has to go. He's mostly been playing with Yakupov and Magnus Paajarvi, those guys are young, but I think they have the hands.Could be a good fit. Are the Flyers interested in a top 5 pick, because it looks like we will have one to trade.
- Jeropotato

If that's what you're looking for in a player for the 2C spot. Then Couturier fits that bill.

Yup, but you can see 4 Caps moving away from or past Crosby up ice, so they were trying to squeeze one last play in.

And only Steckle knows how it really happened. I just don't read intent or malice in his body language or positioning. Plus he's a huge dude.

Either way...

I've always given Steckel the benefit of the doubt. He doesn't have the track record of a head hunter or a cheap player.

Mr. Wentworth just told me to come in here and say there was trouble at the mill, that's all. I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition!

Terrible idea. Not the time to bring them up, it will ruin them and they'll gain nothing.

Konan has never played in the NHL. I don't know what the basis is for thinking that he can right now. Manning hasn't been healthy.

I think there are better options available, rather then throwing a kid into a situation that he's not ready for.

This isn't the best place for a new pro to play right now.

If you want to continue that conversation, that's fine. Why do you think they were called up? To get a look at them at the NHL level? Or because of injuries? Do you think they still would've been called up if those injuries hadn't happened? You need to put a team on the ice.

Gervais may be banged up, which is why maybe he wasn't playing.

Right but don't they have 5 "Healthy" with Timonen, Schenn, Lauridsen, Foster, Gustafsson. Obviously never a bad thing to have 7 guys in warmups and make a decision on who plays but was just wondering if someone else is also dinged that we don't know about

The reason why is relatively obvious. And immaterial. I mean, if hockey players never got hurt or old or traded, then we'd never have to worry about rotating new players into the mix, right? But that's not the way it is, so why not see what the kids can do?

I can understand biding your time, but sooner or later you need to give a kid some time in the big league to see what he can do, and since this season is all but over, and since winning games isn't important, it seems to me the perfect time to evaluate some talent.

The way Lauridsen played last night, I wouldn't be surprised if he sat a game or 2 to settle down and catch his breath. Personally, I think he's improved quite a bit from his first game, but last night was a rough one for him.

Agreed. Chris Therien was admonishing him on the radio last night. Of course, he also let Bryz have it a little after letting up the first goal.

Not trying to be a jerk, I was just wondering who you guys would want to see leave the Flyers in the off-season?
