It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if they did buy out Bryz this summer.

As well as Mason's played, he's currently in his tenth period of play as a Flyer. He hasn't shown he can sustain this. There's no way I'd head into next year with Mason & Boucher or another untested guy. I'd want an insurance policy, for sure.

Totally agree. They would have to have a goalie capable of playing 30-35 games with upside potential. Otherwise I'd wait. I believe there's some good goalies available in FA? I'm not sold on Mason yet, but another goalie and the odds one works out go up. If the Bryz contract was say 3-4 years I wouldn't even be discussing this.

I wouldn't say he's untested... He has been in a slump the last two years...as far as I've seen there isn't much difference between him and bryz... Excepts he's quicker and can handle the puck
