I think he should be nominated, subban should be a lock
- MrPerfect316

Yeah no shot, and rightfully so. He's been pretty pedestrian by his standards this year defensively. Chalk it up to injuries or age.

So is there any chance of making the playoffs?
- Winning

Yeah.

If we win out and everyone else goes 0-5.

I think he's up there tho in pts by a dman otherwise what you said.
- JoeRussomanno

Only reason he wont bc his team wont even make the playoffs. Hes 4th in points among defenseman. Subban should win the award hands down.

He's 4th in the league for pts ... Who knows you might be onto something but watching him all year I agree with the other posters.

Meh, not that great a comparison since I think its more than likely he doesn't get bought out. At least this offseason.

I think Luke took that penalty because he knew it was the only way he was gonna sit down for two full minutes at any point during the last two games.

Small sample but Mason is looking like he can give you the same type of production and cost much less.

I would rather roll the dice on mason and use the cap space else where. Mason is very good and has nothing to lose.

Yup, we need cap space to find some d.

Not saying he's BP or Pele Lindberg, but Mason looks pretty damn quick. He looks pretty solid out there tonight.

If Flyers knowling can use his salary for top Dman or sniper he is as good as gone...Bryz was a little better than average for two seasons now.

I don't disagree with any of you. I just feel that Briere goes for sure, and Bryz stays one more season. That isn't what I would do, it is just what I think the Flyers do.

I would love to be able to buyout Bryz, if you can get another quality young goalie and subsequently use his money towards the cap wisely. And I would hope they didn't rush to the cap to "win now". Just don't like the term when the team is already hamstrung with Pornger's contract.

Mason looks like he is playing for his career, I like what I see. Especially like his stickhandling which can help the d get the puck out of the zone.

I think they are both gone. This is the only year left to get rid of up to 2 contracts with no cap penalties. If they wait till next year they lose cap space so roll the dice on mason and a real vet backup that can play 20 games not named Boucher or leighton
