She's been breaking good men for years. She's a savage. Don't cross her. Last time I saw her she was sitting on a throne of swords.

Personal experience? Do you and Gervais shop in the same store?

It would probably be more of a Norweigan/Swedish accent as Cimmeria is located in present-day Scandinavia. I think that Hyperborea would be kind of Western Russia. But I say let me and your mount our might steeds and pray to Crom in Valhalla as we ride into battle and glory.

In other words, they weren't positive Laughton was ready for the NHL until they tested him in the NHL.

The point is, there's a gray area, an unpredictability in evaluating talent. If there wasn't, drafting would be a guarantee instead of an educated guess.

Is anyone ever positive when it comes to any form of player evaluation? Maybe when Sidney Crosby is sitting there, and you have the first pick, you're positive. I'll put it this way. There seems to be a fallacy that teams need to see a player in the NHL, to know that he's NHL ready. They do not.
We're not talking about a gray area. There are players that they know aren't ready for the NHL. There's no reason to call them up just to get a taste in my opinion. And example of players that should be called up, is say for instance a player like Gustafssson is still in the AHL. You think he's ready for the next step, so with the team out of the playoff hunt, you call him up. Because he's had AHL time, and he's at the point where he needs to advance if he wants to stay in the teams plans. That's the type of player you call up. If there is a spot for him, and he'll play. In my opinion that's how you approach the situation.

In all seriousness I bet we see both Konan and Manning before the end of the season. I'm not too concerened who will be in tonight cuz I bet we see the other the next game... Or the next time the reaper strikes... (insert scary music here)

Huskins was part of Anaheim’s starting defensive pair with Chris Pronger in 2007 when the Ducks won the Stanley Cup.

It is believed Pronger put in a good word for him with general manager Paul Holmgren in March to get him to Philadelphia, much like Pronger did for Sean O’Donnell back in 2010.

I wonder if they asked Pronger and what he said about
Bryznodoff?

I'll be avoiding the threads like the plague tonight. Popped in last night and look what happened.

You know if they win the lottery who cares but since fate would never allow that to happen I'll have to passively watch and not cheer on a loss or celebrate a win. Passive is the word for the rest of the regular season.

Playoffs, I'll find a rooting interest out west and watch for entertainment purposes in the east.

We can't have nice things because we have a boy who's been treating our house like a college dorm for the last 4 years and too many dogs.

Edit: by we I meant me.
