Not trying to be a jerk, I was just wondering who you guys would want to see leave the Flyers in the off-season?
- nbartley9

carter and richards, coach stevens, and carcillo, he can go too

Sorry for cluttering up the thread, I just get sick of one person being the most knowledgable person and knowing the intricate ins and out of the minds of NHL GMs league wide and why they make the decisions they make and refusing to consider anyone else's opinion. I'll let it go though.

I hope that whoever plays tonight does a good job and progresses as a player to ultimately help the Flyers towards winning a Stanley Cup.

I think someone told Ollie he would be much better if played with more snarl.

That's fine but he is now getting stupid penalties.

- Marc D

I get the impression that if Kevin McCarthy told Ollie he would stand a better chance of being an NHL defenseman by going on a weekend snipe hunt, Ollie would do it.

You forgot JvR!

He hasn't done anything for the Flyers this year.

Tonight's defensive lineup:

Kimmo and Schenn.
Pray for the Phantoms' D-men

- johndewar

Not that he is one of the favorites here, but Lilja has really been a blessing for the Phantoms d-corps this year. He has played hard every night. He seems to relate better to the kids than Kjell does and has been a mentor of sorts; to Matt Konan especially.

He has signed to play overseas next year.

The new kid, Alt, looks like a keeper. Homer made a nice play getting him included in the Boucher deal with Carolina.

Nope. It's already been concluded that he's not ready for the NHL.

"I think there are better options available, rather then throwing a kid into a situation that he's not ready for."

I like that about him.

I don't want to get in the whole play rookies vs not play them debate.

From my personal standpoint I do look forward to watching the young guys get a chance to play in these games when they are out of the play off picture.

It adds an element to watch in otherwise somewhat meaningless games, from my perspective as a fan.

I'm too lazy to read back. What has he brought to the table so far?

Yeah, I see that. I'm catching up in chronological order.

You passive-aggressively agreed to let it go.

Does that mean we have to look forward to him chumming over the side boards during the SCF's?

Ollie has snarl. Got in a scrap with a legit AHL fighter his first week out of college two seasons ago. Not that he is a great fighter, but he is always willing to dance. Don't let the baby face fool you. The kid can play mean.

Stupid penalties? You mean like Hartnell and Coburn were doing all year? Why shouldn't the rookie want to fit in?

I like Ollie, I hope he sticks around.
He uses his size and reach well, and already seems to be an A+ shot blocker
