Kevin Lowe is the one that should have fired himself. Tambs was likely hamstrung. It isn't like KL had a stellar GM rec, and Tambs was the fall man if they didn't win this yr.
Regardless, I think Kevin was the puppeteer and is Oil's answer to Ken King. - FLflames34
so is Ken King interviewing Tambo |

Nick and Smid are in the top 10 for blocked shots in the league. You know how many dmen there are in the league. You know why a dman blocks a shot? Because he doesn't trust his goalie to. When smid and nick are blocking shots, they are not covering their men. They are motionless. If a team has confidence in their goalie, then they allow them to handle the shots, like they did with habby and backlund the other night. It didn't turn out well but the dmen took the passing lanes and let habby face him one on one. - bsteinley
not true at all. blocking shots is a huge part of the game nowadays..for every team.
if a puck doesnt get to the net, it cant go in. it's not an indication of confidence in ur goalie at all.
volchenkov was a shot blocking beast and paid big dollars for that reason to play in in front of brodeur..is this why?
letting the shot 'get through' or the goalie 'taking the shooter' scenario is during an odd man rush. not under normal circumstances at all.
and they dont just flop and stay there.
this was a bad post |

Something tells me you also picked Hemsky to be traded the last 3 deadlines.
Playing armchair is easy after the fact. Unless you are on rec, you have no pt.
Having said that, Clout thought it'd be Howson |

Not sure you're qualified to make that sort of remark, unless you have a business degree from Queen's University, or have more Stanley Cups than everybody else working in hockey right now (except for one). |

Cool thing about the internet is:
I have two pHds from Oxford and MIT and Im an astronaut/theoretical astrophysicist. I won 12 Stanley Cups while creating quantum mechanics and inventing the internet.
Therefore, you're gay. I win. |

Orpik, Seidenberg and Girardi are all top 10. No trust there for Fleury, Rask or Lundqvist... |
