its one of the most used/reliable papers in NY...considering the 3rd bomb wasnt controlled, it could account for the 12 and 50 injuried (but thats my speculation)

I really hope those fatalities numbers do not rise in the coming days. I pray that everyone who is injured fights through especially those in critical condition.

Glad everyone here is okay. From a middle eastern point of view there are probably 2 reasons why he the saudi guy did this: Radical islam or because america has good relations with a very repressing regime, but I doubt its the second reason.

Supposedly the library situation was a mechanical problem and not related to the bombings, police are investigating.

Reporter on Boston TV said there was an earlier electrical fire that caused them to cancel an event there today. But the later incident was an explosion and fire of unknown origin. They are investigating as if it is part of the larger series of incidents.

I consider it unreliable. And when only one outlet is reporting something, and no other outlets are even reporting that another outlet is reporting that something, it says a lot about their opinion of its reliability.

I posted before that a small part me wanted to watch hockey still, even though they shouldn't for safety. Now that this has sunk in a bit realize that was childish. Especially seeing some pictures of the attack.

Reporter from the scene said earlier in the day there was an electrical fire, which led them to cancel an event and send some employees home, but later there was an explosion and fire that has badly damaged a corner of the building and police/FBI/and Secret Service are on site investigating. No known injuries, though.

Positive thoughts to all those affected by today's tragedy.
