As per Steve Simmons, the only players with more points than Kessel the last 2 seasons are Malkin, Stamkos, Giroux, and St Louis.

Thats pretty impressive.

Well, statistically, Reimer has been a better goalie than Schneider this year. More games, same sv%. And if you ask Canucks fans, he's done it behind a far worse team.... Although, that's debateable these days. So, if you're going to laugh at Reimer being mentioned (and ironically, he only said "how far off could he be"), that only makes you an even bigger idiot than whoever was saying yesterday. I'm not saying he deserves it, but he's in line in front of Schneider, that's unquestionable.

It's Canucks fans, what do you expect.

Witnessing you have an aneurysm in real time has almost made your rather pathetic trolling bearable.

Entertaining stuff, but let me know if I should call you an ambulance. Pop a couple of your anxiety pills and breathe deep breaths...

Fun fact: At his current pace and assuming no increase in ability towards his prime, Reimer would have more shutouts than Lu with the same amount of games played.

I agree I wouldn't go that far, but so far he has averaged a shutout every 11 starts to start his career. Not too shabby considering the disaster of a season he had last year.

I wish Burkie was still here, he would be having a field day with the media, with the team playing this good.

I don't, I don't relish Komisarek and Connololololy troloping around.

you do realize trashing a 25 year old goaltender with a 17-5-4 record, a GAA of 2.36 and a Sv% of .925 only makes you look like the fool right?

you seriously need to get over this

And yet everyone still craps on Kessel including Simmons.
It was only about 13 games ago that people on here were coming up with Kessel trade options.

Again, if Kessel can be had for 6 - 6.5 sign him long term

If he's willing to take 6.5 for 8 year, you have to sign him asap....hell considering the company he's keeping in the scoring rankings, 7 mill won't be a stretch and I'd still say do it.

Dear Mr. Dozzer,

I have been one of Reimer's harshest critics on this board. This I admit whole heartily.

Although I still do have reservations about him. I do admit that if he was to continue playing as he has done the past month, especially like he did last nite, then I was wondering if you could manage to reserve a spot for me on the Reimer bandwagon.

Please.

I wasn't trashing Reimer, in fact I was on here last night complimented him, he played great.
I was shaking my head at the comment bolded.....way too many uncontrollable perimeters to even be loosely classified as a "fun fact".

You need to look up the definition of "trashing".

That would be so awesome...but I wouldn't bank on it. If we could somehow manage to get into 4th and get home ice that would be cool though.

Hmmmmm....... not everybody. I have defended him throughout his tenure here. I have been adamant that it was the Leafs who have won the trade for Kessel.

He is a bona fide future Hall of Famer if he doesn't suffer any serious injuries.

Bet on it.

Good Morning Gentleman.
We got the 2 points but hot damn that was pretty boring for 2 periods.
Needless to say my girlfriend wasn't impressed her team lost.

He has played well this season for sure. He made some great saves last night....great game for him.
I'm perfectly fine with going into the playoffs with him this year.

Next year will be the true test.....can this occur over 82 games.......I really hope so.

he has to prove consistency still.. i can admit that... but as the pressure mounts he stays calm.. thats a huge thing... he doesnt lose his focus.. in fact.. he seems to play better as the gmaes have more on the line

Ok 7 million max, if he continues to improve....I could understand that.

But Im not willing to give a lot of cash until he starts scoring goals against Boston.

It isn't about the Leafs winning a game they shouldn't have. It is all about Luongo. Kneughter is butt hurt because the idiots on the left coast still think Toronto is lining up with 3 other teams to start a Luongo bidding war this summer. Games like last night really impinge upon their delusions.
- Aetherial

what makes this SO entertaining, is the Canuckleheads still can't or won't see the forest for the trees.

the CAP situation for the Canucks is an absolute mess, at exactly the time when the team's performance seems to be on the decline. The Canuckleheads seem to believe the team will gain untold riches in return for Luongo even still, after all the trade deadline baloney that took place.

one thing is for sure, Gillis will either be very uncomfortable asking Canuck ownership for $40M to buyout two players OR Gillis will be very uncomfortable looking for employment elsewhere. Gillis' only chance to survive being fired is if he his somehow able to find a team willing to take on those contracts - and he will likely have to pay those teams to do so - picks and prospects.

He loses focus when there's less pressure.

He'll shut down the opposition when the team infront of him is playing like poop, but he'll let in weak ones when the team doesn't need him to keep them in.

I have also been on the Kessel fan list. The guy puts up numbers, has a bullet for a shot and is one of the pure snipers in the game and is also turning into quite the set up man.

He may not be the power forward everyone drools over in terms of physicality but if you intend on being a legitimate team you need a guy like Kessel who can turn it on and be a difference maker (see last 4 games)
