I wonder what the Corsi stats say tonight? Are we picking first overall? Hey Yost, who should we take with the first pick, according to your slick stats?

Yes but under Wilson... Burke's morals wouldn't send losers like Lombardi & Connelly down... Nonis/Carlyle have made a difference played more youth... and exiled big contract veterans to press box, Marlies, & out the door...

Burke only gets marginal credit...

- DoctorNHL

I dont think it's marginal credit. I think Burke should have been given to stay his last year outta his 5 year plan cause its working out pretty well but Nonis has done a good job so far too

Not sure if he would've been on board for exiling so many players.. take Liles who he gave a stupid extension too.. Burke I don't think would've got the same job done...

I was big on him when he came.. but their was no truculence to his teams... we got tougher with the right players in the line-up.. and not sure if Burke would've done that...

Yeah true... I don't think he'd send down Komi and Conolly either.. but who knows.

Take Fraser his call-up has made Franson such a better player because of his toughness... Franson even led the team in hits tonight with 10.

Some of that credit has to go to Carlyle who has done a masterful job... and his squad selection has been excellent throughout the year.. as he rewards performance... and that is a huge difference.. from Wilson.

But you have to have a GM on board willing to bench some millions to improve...

I still can't get over that game, maybe it's because of how much I drank, but I'm getting flashbacks of Cujo and Belfour after that. Like wow, what a (frank)ing performance.

I so badly want to go bonkers over this guy.

A bunch that called up including the announcers who said they didn't think Reimer was good enough.. or the Leafs were a playoff team...

He made some incredible saves... and others that were hard he made look easy.

Team did a great job also of keeping most shots to the outside...

Great stuff...

I agree, Burke didn't seem to have the stomach for treating players in a fashion that Nonis did... meaning underachieving... see ya. Which really was the end of blue and white disease - finally.

Burke would have perhaps sat one veteran out... I simply don't believe he would have done what Nonis/Carlyle did with all of Komisarek, Connolly and Liles.

I was on the fence about reimer he's playing good right now when he gets on hot streak he's golden. Also seems to stop giving up soft goals which is a bonus. Just hope it's not one of those streaks where he starts slowing come playoff time, time will tell. He must love playing habs though how many times has he shut them down.

Agreed I think he created more entitled players than he got rid of... the Muskoka 5 worked much harder than most of their replacements...

I don't think Nonis & Carlyle don't get enough credit for the change in the philosophy..

He seems to drop deeper after coming off an injury.. but the more he stays out there the better he gets... we just have to watch out for the head hunters like Gionta...

Leafs are a pretty tough crew. Could do well in the playoffs. Couple guys on the roster know the deal.

Nope I always said last year it wasn't the goalies it was the soft team playing in front of them... never seen so many tap in goals... after 3 or 4 saves...

Now that the team is committed to playing a tighter game.. both goalies look good...

Don't remember too many goals this year against where the opposition had 4 or 5 whacks at it...

Reimer was never the problem.

Unless they knocked out Bruins or Pens... any of the other teams wouldn't be a surprise win.. they are better than the rest.

I could see them bar injury going to the conference final...

Easy bubba. Just be happy for playoffs and take what comes. Playoffs are a whole different game. You know that.
