Glucky, I did say right wing extremists. As opposed to the saner right wing of the political spectrum. - faceto27
I know. I'm just saying. It doesn't matter if they're right wingers or left wingers. They're nutjobs. |

Never mind -- I make bad jokes all the time. There's a big difference between deciding not to "live in fear" and being insensitive. I thought it was an insensitive time to make a joke. - Canada Cup
I wouldn't have made fun of the victims or something like that.
The "homegrown terrorist/right wing nuts" angle/speculation though... |

I don't see how blowing up a city block packed with innocent bystanders represents conservatism pushed to its extreme.
As far as I'm aware, murdering innocents is not a central pillar of right wing ideology. |

We shouldn't be jumping to conclusions today... We'll know more tomorrow morning or later this evening. Terrible thing to happen.. |

There was an explosion at the JFK library. Not a planned detonation by the police.
Unknown if it was part of this, or if it was just an unfortunate coincidence. |

It seems to be part of the extremists agenda though. The Oklahoma bombing comes to mind.
Keep in mind, I am using the term Extremists.
Much like there are Muslim extremists.
They are all a very small minority of the group in general. |

Heartbreaking to hear Newtown families were in VIP section right by the Boston Marathon explosion. - faceto27
That's horrible considering what they have gone through, but coincidence - nothing to more. |

It's not a part of any RW or LW pillar or norm. However, to be fair, he said extremist and extremism by its nature exists only outside of our accepted moral norms. |

Well, rick james said he heard something on the scanner about it earlier, the mayor/governer(not sure which, tuned in late) said that there was another event there. Being treated as part of the whole thing.
Edit: Maybe the chief of police. Big guy. Sounds like Ray's brother. |

Associating voilence like this with extremism is fine ....I think his argument is more that you characterized it as RW extremist rather than simply extremists.
Begs the question though - in modern America has there ever been an example of violent LW extremist like this? Somebody write an paper. |

Don't really want to get into this, but extremism goes beyond partisanship. These people (who ever they may be) likely feel or have felt moral/physical injustice has driven them to "forcibly" exemplify their pain. Borderline psychopaths. |

You'd have to go back to the 60's to find some. Black Panthers, Abby Hoffman etc. |

This isn't made to be a joke or in anyway make light of the situation, it just so happens to be funny.
Imagine running the entire marathon crossing the line, then being like poop I have to keep running - RickJames77
In all seriousness though, that's a really scary thing. A lot of people can barely walk without assistance after crossing the finish line, to be hurried away at that point is no small feat. |

Yeah I couldn't quite make out whether it was a bomb or fire, it just came over the wire a lot. Flyfreaky say his daughter was there and it was an explosion. The police chief, from what I thought I heard, said it was connected and was a bomb. |

He said there was an explosion, they don't know if it's related, but they're treating it as though it is. |
