keep in mind, that may just be a suspicious package, which they've decided to blow up.

Iirc, that's a couple of blocks further east from the finish line.

We had a scare in Toronto a few years back, and they moved the package to Leslie's pit before blowing it... why would they do a controlled explosion in the middle of the city?

yes... but that's what's frightening... some idiot can set off 2 more bombs, and have at least one more primed to go, at a heavily guarded event.

The argument can be made that this person simply wasn't on the radar, but still. Disconcerting.

just when i think of terrorism i think of people from outside of the states

this seems to me to be just some kid or person making his mark. DOesnt make him not dangerous just smaller scale than a large terrorist organization.

Sadly, the numbers they released can rise.

Just watching the film, and knowing how packed those sidewalks are, I can't imagine how the numbers won't grow.

Has anyone heard about the location of the second (or first) blast?

Everyone keeps saying they heard two blasts, but it seems that there is only footage of one.

Could it be that just people heard an echo of the blast?

Finally got through to her. First explosion she said sounded like a cannon and didn't know what was going on, the second was closer. guard rail in front of her knocked down blasted with smoke air just missed by glass...was rushed through the crate and barrel right by where it happened and taken out the back door and directed to the charles river
