No no no we are and always have been a crap franchise especially when you compare us to the franchise that props the nhl up and is basically the only real franchise in the league the rest just crap and the championship us awarded every year to the team with the largest fan base and has no bearing on how the franchise itself has been run for as long as anyone can remember because when it comes down to it no matter what leaf fans are always correct

Check goals for in the 99-00 and 00-01 seasons, Devils were amongst the highest scorers. The trap and low scoring labels on the Devils are so wrong.
