Could be yes if they draft him in June. Here is more written about him in October.

Does Paul Holmgren expect Peter Laviolette to return as coach next season? "Yeah. I'll say that, sure," he answered. #FlyersTalk

“We think about a lot of things after the season,” Holmgren said. “I’ve said before, I haven’t thought about that, and I still haven’t. I’m happy with the coaching.”

He would have created a poop storm by answering the question in a different manner. Again, when gives his first press conference after the season and then gives Lava the vote of confidence, then I will 100 % believe he will be back next season.

Looks good. I kept waiting for the comparison to Forsberg.

I still have my fingers crossed for a world class defenseman, and for some reason I'm stuck on Rasmus Ristolainen (I guess it's the Finnish connection and the fact the kid has one of the coolest (frank)ing names ever!)

That's exactly what I was looking for.

If that kid can get anywhere near a Forsberg-type level of play, he's going to be a machine.

Then there had better be a huge turnover of players on D so we get people in here who can play Lavi's fast paced system. I can't see how you keep Coburn Grossnan and a slowed down Kimmo in the top 4 moving forward. Even if the FA options are weak...

I haven't seen Ristolainen play, but every scouting report i've read just glows about this kid. I would love to see him in orange and black.

Here's a question. If the Flyers pick 4th or 5th and draft Barkov or Monahan, do you offer Brayden Schenn to a team looking for offense picking 7 or 8 and then draft Ristolainen?

Agreed, the Fins do have some great names. Kimmo, Rasmus, Saku, Mikko, and Teemu. We need some more Fins on the team.

I hope Mason has a great game and we beat the Rangers, but I also want the Rangers to get the 8 seed, Henrik to turn into a wall, and they send the Pens home crying. That would be awesome, and certainly a fun series to watch.

I'm sorry but I can't stand csp in fact with his annoying prissy crown hat I hate him more than Crosby at least he's won a cup . There I said and (frank) the rangers

After Jones, how do you have the defensmen ranked who could be drafted in the top 20?

I'm so tired of hearing about Bobrovsky. He had so many chances to take over and he never could. He's playing great this year. Maybe he'll be a great goalie. I don't know, but they didn't get rid of him because Laviolette didn't play him in the playoffs. Holmgren traded him because he didn't think he was good enough to be the starter and he was going to cost too much to be a backup.

Seems to me Couturier just didn't play well enough to play on a top line. He's a young kid who had a down year. So Lavy gets no credit for Coot's good rookie season, but all the blame for this season?

- Dkos

No. Bob had one chance to be #1 goaltender and he responded with a .915 sv% and 2.58 gaa as a rookie. That was realistically the only chance he ever had and as far as rookies go, he nailed it. It was Laviolette"s inept handling of the goalies i the playoffs which cost Bob his job. The next time he saw the ice it was as a backup to the $52 million dollar man. If you thought Bob had a fair chance to win the job from a guy who they just gave 9 years and 52 million to, you are delusional. So no, Bob did not have multiple chances to nail down the job.

I think the only team who would even consider that is Columbus with their 3 first round picks. I'd like to keep B Schenn cause he clearly has potential, and because I wonder if the trade would throw L Schenn off his game a bit (a possibility, even though it's not likely...but you know they prefer playing together), but I certainly try my best to put a reasonable deal together for another first round pick.

Little suprised, Zadorov ranking. Physically a large d-man. More of an unfinished product, hence the lower ranking?

Meh. I respect the Rangers and their organization more. Crosby has been jammed down our throats for years. Henrik Lundqvist isn't used as a poster boy.

I don't care that Crosby won a Cup. Adam Seravalling Burish won a Cup. Doesn't make him more likeable.
