I hate,hate,hate the Idea of buying out Horcoff. Not that he's great, but he probably is good enough for 1 more year on the 3rd line. Replacing him with Anton Lander is premature, and I know a little bit about being premature.
Replacing him with a rookie from this years draft is ludicrous.
Buying Horcoff out and going after UFA's? Thats a gamble.Free agents will sign here,why?I could just see Horcoff getting bought out and Tambo holding his Richard in mid july when all the best UFA's have signed elsewhere.Probably end up with a guy like Marty Reasoner, and Tambo would say he got the guy he targeted all along.
When you lack assets, why give one up for nothing? Or worse yet,pay money to do so?

How soon Penguin fans forget that they were in the same boat as the Oilers Drafting first or second overall.But then you are probably a bandwagon fan that only got on board after the penguins started winning. Dont forget that Crosby and Fluery are both first overall picks. Malkin and Stall were also picked in the top three. Crosby basically was given to you guys in a fixed lottery to save your pathetic franchise.
