would porter have to clear waivers first?
- navinrjohnson

His contract is clearly Two-Way... though there maybe some rule I don't know about but otherwise there shouldn't be an issue.

i would guess flynn, porter, adam and pysyk would go back down and that is it.. doubt they would feel there was a benefit to sending hodge and Foligno
- SabresFaninIndiana

Hodge in Roc would be killer but it won't happen.

"Porter and Flynn go Lennon-McCartney, and collaborate on a pretty 2 on 1 breakaway that Porter tapped in past Garon."

pretty? Really? Porter made a bad pass that Flynn was able to get to and throw toward the net...

Another thing is the possibilty of Grigs (can he be sent to Rochester at this point?) and then Armia.

What about the new college kid (Rudy?), can he be sent to Rochester at the end of the season or is there some condition in the contract agreement that prevents it?

Christ you're right, I didn't think he was that old. His contract is only 550k per year.

Yeah but I think the NHL season needs to be over first. I dunno, some exception crap Darcy made just to get him to sign.

That's gotta be this year only. No way a college kid gets an ELC that's NHL only... that's just rediculous.

the team announced it's an entry level contract
an entry level contract is 2 ways w/o waiver

maybe the media outlets should read more and talk less

All ELCs are two-way contracts and can be extended by as many as two seasons

the length of their entry level contract is based on their age

Is that due to a contract restriction or did he just not want to play in the AHL. It seems odd to me that the kid would rather play 7 games in the NHL and not play in the AHL.

What about Grigs, can he playin Rochester without any more contract issues?

apparently you cant sign players out of college during the season and play them in the ahl. list all the rules you want but it seems you are wrong

he played in buffalo to start, because of the team need and it was either that or call up a player other then mcnabb from rochester

as for gringo
he already played enough games as a sabre for the first year to kick in, so he can go to rochester or to the sabres or just work out

I am sure they will address the next step for gringo today

I'd like to see him in an Amerks uniform for sure, all the more reason to watch them in the playoffs. A lot of these players are in Buffalo's immediate future so I'm excited to see them here in the minors.

Okay heres the rule from college hockey news guy

"If the contract were to start next season he could play the remainder of the year in Rochester on ATO. Since the contract started immediately he is restricted from joining the AHL until the start of next season"

Flynn signed an entry level but his contract didnt start. similar to how armia can play in the AHL after his season is over without his contract starting.

Be as adamant as you want. You're still wrong

Been studying this poop for years and I still don't completely get all of the contract rules... don't think I ever will. Well I dunno, if he turns out to be a good option for our D then I won't complain. All of this was just a farce to get him to sign.

Ruhwedel's 2 year deal is a two way contract entry level contract
a two way contract means they can go two ways, not an nhl contract
