takes the sting out of it in May
- Big_Lightnin

Actually....yes, it does. Every year the Pens are in the discussion for top team, and they are extremely fun to watch. They definitely have had playoff trouble lately, but this team has a different makeup. I like their chances. If they lose, there's always next year...

Just think, outside of a Cup win, no matter happens, it'll hurt more for the Canucks to get knocked out than the Leafs....ditto for Pittsburgh

no pressure

- Zezel

How is not having any pressure to be a significant hockey team a good thing?
Or have you already forgotten the lack two decades of Leaf hockey.

helps of know if it was one of our "special posters" or not... sadly we do have a few of those. ok.

nevermind the obvious, Rielly and Gardiner are both LD, both Left shots, and both PMD's... I'll be shocked if they ever set foot on the ice together their entire careers

- Big_Lightnin

It wasn't any of you regular posters, I know that.
It was around the WJC's and a few guys were going off about Rielly being the next top d-man in the league. I actually really like Rielly but to say he and Gardiner are the next Keith/Seabrook was quite funny.

If the Leafs get Montreal in the first round, you could almost book it as a sweep today. We play well against everyone right now outside of Boston, which have been close games all year long.
- Compeyson

Easy killer, all depends on Price and yes i did watch the game last night but he's still an elite goalie and is more than capable to steal a series.

ya if Crosby and Neal are healthy you guys are probably going all the way.

You (frank)ers cost me my playoff pool last year I picked LA-Pens final - everybody thought I was nuts going with LA

Pressure for the Canucks has more to do with closing windows and the potential firing of your coach and GM.

I voted for the leafs to win, because they are arguably one of the best teams since forever.

hoping to see a hawks vs pens series with both teams healthy, dont think too many people could handle watching great hockey that could be played in that series

Really, then why has the team with "no pressure" done both of those things?

Crosby...yes. I don't think the other hurt as much as people think. Keep Crosby and Letang out there and, IMO, the Pens will be there at the end.
Picking the Kings....that was ballsy.

LOL!! ok i get the hate that the habs are not for real since they finished last in the east last year

but than apparently the Leafs are in the for real category after beating the habs badly last night, it must now mean they can easily take the Bs and Pens what a joke L-O-L

I for one am happy that the Leafs are in the playoffs. One more year would have been nice to round out a full decade of no playoffs for the Leafs, but it was getting a little too easy. Plus now it will hurt more when you get bounced.

The habs are much better than what they showed last night. But noyhing I can say can make last night go away, or the fact out of 10 losses this season 3 have been against the leafs. It doesnt bode well should the habs see the leafs in the playoffs. That said, after the 6-0 loss to the leafs the habs went 21 wins in 23 games. Yhey went on to have a couple come back wins against boston. Ddown 4-1 in one of them. The habs also have some of the better team stats as well.

I don't peg them to win the cup, but they cant be taken lightly either. I think they could knock off bos or pitts in 7 game series too. anything can happen come the playoffs

Lets be honest the only reason why your in the playoffs is because its a shortened season.

Why isn't Toronto an option for who will be out in round 1?

They don't have a chance.

- Iggysbff

Really ? If they dont have a chance please explain why..Last 13 game they pulled points in 12 and the 13th game should have been a point at least but again the ref failed to make the call even tho he was standing right there and seen our goalie was clearly interferred with and prevented from stopping the game winning goal for Philly..Weve beat every team in our conf this year at least once..Boston no longer has their hold over us..We dont give the game away in the last few min slike we have for so many years..So again explain why they dont have a chance..
