I'm not sure how you can state as fact something that includes multiple variables.

You say they love bringing in veteran players with injury qeustions or employing players with injury questions.. Please prove it.

Grossmann seems a bit glassy..Mezaros has run into problems over the past 2 seasons..

please tell me how Hartnell, Read, Rinaldo , Talbot have a history of injury problems. Same for B Schenn who is on pace for a full season.

Simmonds trying to jump over Giroux last year hits him in the head and he misses a few games..is that a chronic issue with him or just a random bad event?

With the injury history of many players on this team, for whatever reason, nobody should be suprised with the amount of injuries to a decent number of the players.

As in they shouldnt be suprised if it happens again.

If Lavy's fired and re-hired by another team, does he still collect salary for the remaining 2 years on his Flyers contract in addition to whatever he gets from his new team? Does he double-dip?

If Tampa wins tonight the Flyers will be in the #5 draft position at least for now.

And that would put them in line for Valeri Nichushkin

On the contrary, Knuble sets an example of professionalism and playing each shift like it means something. He deserves to play.

Let me ask you this: How much did Rosehill dressing in the last game deter Chris Neil from running around at the Flyers' skill players? McGinn is with the Phantoms.

- bmeltzer

Exactly, goons deter nobody.

the severity of the injuries and number of key guys out is really alarming
if I were the GM I would hope for the best, but especially on D get prepared for the worst.

Mezzy ?
Kimmo at his age, whether he gets a through a full season ?
Grossmann's health too is ?
The last week it looked like the Hockey Gods were trying to kill Luke Schenn too.

This whole, one of these years we will catch a break thing doesnt sit well with me for this reason.

So many of these guys have had concussions for whatever reason, or injuries that linger some way or another. Yet its always suprising when the Flyers have so many injuries year after year.

Its bad luck to a degree, but you can see this poop coming.

Would anyone be suprised if one of Giroux, Grossman, Simmonds, Read or Brayden Schenn went down with a lengthy concussion next season?

Would anyone be suprised if Gagne was out long term? Briere if he stays? Meszaros?

Simmonds, Giroux, Brayden Schenn, Read and Grossman have all had a decent number of injuries, and serious one's. Yet its going to be just bad luck when one goes down for a longer period of time yet again.

- flyer_nutter

orly ¿

Simmonds : played 360 games out of a possible 376 games over his 5 year career so far.

Read: 114 out of a possible 123 games.

Giroux: 282 out of 287 games over the first 4 full years of his career.

B Schenn has too small a career sample really to look at but so far has missed 1 game this season because of a suspension.

Please tell me how any of that proves those players have a history of serious injuries or have missed games.

I agree, only pause is still the Russian factor if any for a team.

Valeri is more of a passer than scorer.

edit: from what i've seen anyways.

double edit: the lack of outstanding numbers at any level though do kinda make me a little hesitant though.

Its bad luck, but shouldnt be used as an excuse anymore. With the concussion history, and injury history of a lot of these guys nobody should be suprised.

I'd like to see management take more of that into consideration when bringing in players, in the future. I dont think they do so enough. As well as when handing out long term deals.

Thats the solution to limiting bad luck.

Have seen nothingof him.

How is he defensively?

Attitude?

Edit: Partly why I like Barkov more, his defensive game seems better. That would be my concern with Drouin as well.

Yeah, if he's willing to sign and come over, there should be zero hesitation.
