If you don't they you don't have a clue about you're talking about. Try not talking out of your ass. It works better.

You use more smiley faces than anyone I've ever seen on here.

None of us know what goes on the GMs office and to say that we do is ridiculous. I just know what I see.

I see the Islanders going outside the box and picking players that rarely live up to expectations. And I also see the Rangers spending hundreds of millions of dollars on July 1st and rarely living up to expectations.

I don't know how to build a team but I know that what both of these teams do doesn't work.

Sure. Facts and stats say different. But if you want to believe than you bust be drinking the wang Koolaid.
- tomburton99

Yeah, I'm the Wang Koolaid guy. Every other Islander fan on here will certainly back you up on that one.

Why not read a few more threads before replying.

Walking up to the podium and saying a name through a microphone has nothing to do with turning a player into a NHL talent.

Okposo in the Devils organization probably would have been a very good player.

Development is much more important than pictures on draft day.

- kencan98

So drafting players means nothing. Rangers have nobody they devopled. they just said names through a speaker. Names like Nino, Kabanov, Bailey, Ness and Joensue.

So what is the key to build a team the right a developing talent? Because you have said drafting is the key, then trading is the key, now development is the key. Which is it?

Only thing you said that has been true. You're getting better.

I understand you're a Ranger fan but I can't keep saying the same thing over and over again.

It rings hollow, because you don't know. You talk like you know, but you don't you don't even know the Islanders. The team you root for. You definitely have a future in hockey for sure. BTW, what is the right way to build a team?

I know what I see. Just like all of us.

No smiley faces. Good job.

Don't worry. July 1st you'll be the best team in the league again. It's only a few months away.

My god reading those arguments gave me a head ache. I was at work during the game, but from what I saw it was a heck of a game. Seemed like the Isles were the better team for the night, The Queen got the best of us. He's a top goalie for a reason. We got a point, lets take it and move on. All this nyi/nyr bragging over tonights game means nothing if we dont go out and finish up the season and make the playoffs.

Kencan, you are really embarrassing yourself with these posts. Seriously dude, I didn't see a single Ranger poster come in here maliciously or troll the board but the arguments that you are putting up against them are foolish and ridiculous. The Rangers are a solid team with one of the leagues top goaltenders. He stole the game for them but stuff like that happens even though the Isles outplayed them. We got a point and a big point. Take it, move on and focus on the Panthers.
Either way, why don't you try acting like a mature person instead of putting up 4th grade comments. You might make it more enjoyable for others...especially people who like to talk about hockey. Isles fans, Rangers fans, whoever. Grow up man.

Really enjoyed this one. Big win for your boys even though the Isles played a better game for the most part. Hank stole the show. The final stretch here will be very entertaining. Need Winnepeg to start losing again, I think it would be awesome if both NY teams get in. The buzz around NY would be great for the sport here.

hank indeed steal the show but that's the luxury we have with him.

knowing that we have such a great goaltender allows us to take more risks and have him face more shots.

I have to agree. You have a great luxury. But only scoring 1 goal in overtime isnt going to cut it in the playoffs. You're team needs to find more of a game. Rags were lucky to get 1 point outa this, let alone 2.

good teams find way to win and that's what we're starting to do now. we don't win this game before the trade deadline imo.

obviously i wish we scored more goals but we're not gonna put up 3 goals every night. we've been scoring a decent amount recently and it's just inevitable that we have a flub like tonight.

Great goalies steal games that their teams got outplayed in. Like he said, it's a luxury and that's what makes Hank elite. He has the ability to outright steal games and vital points.
Would have been nice if we didn't hit so many posts though

You guys were unlucky tonight. Both teams will make the playoffs i think. We'll see where it goes from there. I hope we see each other though. That would make for a helluva series.

if its the 7 and 8 seeds they take, most likely wouldnt be into the ECF because of the reseeding. I think we are all getting ahead of ourselves there lol. Lets just say I hope we make the playoffs, and I would be ecstatic. Anything else would be an absolute shock and a delight.

I'm not embarrassing myself at all. The Rangers are not a solid team at all and actually, neither are the Islanders. After being touted (like usual) as the team to beat, the Rangers are barely in a playoff spot. I don't call that "solid".

The Islanders are on a hot streak. I'm hoping it doesn't end but who knows. The Islanders have had hot streaks of 8 to 10 games before only to go on and lose 4 or 5 straight.

We will see what happens but one thing is for sure, for the Rangers to call themselves anything other than a disappointment would be silly. I'd you'd like to stick up for them, fine. But I won't and never will.
