God damn, they must have hired him as soon as he was let go. The Oil have a GREAT young nucleus but the current management haven't done a whole lot to round out the roster, can't even remember last time they made a decent (news worthy) trade.
Oh well, they could be the NYI's of next year.

Disagree. This team lives and dies by Taylor Hall. Gags is a heart and soul guy. But will never be the Captain. They would have re-upped him by now.

9. Steve Tambellini's could be toast. Here's my theory: The Oilers have found room for Scott Howson, and his history with the team goes way back. The Oilers continue to stink, and from what I hear, everyone loves Ralph Krueger, so he's safe. Someone has to take the fall, right? If it isn't Lowe, MacT or Krueger...So you ditch Tambellini and replace him with Howson. I'd be okay with it. Well, it can't hurt, can it?

You know, a lot of people post on here how they hate Clouts and that he should not be the Oilers bloggers, yet they keep on coming back to read. They are the real bozo's of this site. Clouts blogs with his emotions, sometimes they don't make sense, but they are entertaining. Pretty good blog Clouts, just a few things:
1)Schultz has been fantastic on the offensive side of the puck, not so much defensive, but that was expected for an rookie offensive dman playing a lot of minutes.

5) Why not keep khabby? He is a solid veteran backup-why would you want to get younger and more unproven in goal?

6) If gagner gets dealt, it better not be more picks and prospects. You guys have enough of that, he should be dealt (if at all) for a roster player.

7) Again, get off the lazar train. Just because he is on the Oil Kings, doesn't make him top-10. If Oilers pick Lazar before lindholm all is lost. If they are picking at that spot, picking a dman like nurse, ristolainen or zadorov would be a good idea, though the first two might not be available.

8) Again with Weber, they would not think of moving him if one of hall, eberle, RNH or yakupov are coming back as part of the package. Your deal includes valuable pieces but Weber is a top 5 dman in this league. None of those guys are top 5 forwards. Its like someone offering you multiple good, but not great, pieces for one of the guys i mentioned.

Anyhow, pretty good blog though.

If management took Lazar over Lindholm (assuming he was still around), I would catch every rabbit in my neighbourhood and strangle them one by one. That pick would epitomize the retardation we've dealt with over the past number of years! Thankfully, I don't see them being THAT dumb.
