The point is, Eklund talks to people who play in the NHL! Let him have his fun. |

EK .... the first reference to Quebec should be "Quebecor"
The Quebecor group has money, but not that much, so I would expect The Nordiques to be a relocated team, rather than one that would cost $400M+ in expansion fees. More likley the $150-$200M to buy and relocate a Pheonix, TB, or Columbus. |

|
Realistically I wouldn't but I'm willing to bet they make more money then the bottom teams in NHL right now .... Kinda wonder how much the Halifax mooseheads made last year compared to panthers lol - Redmile247

It's just sad. When your team turns into a poophole again you will all disappear. Hopefully someone will save your team again at some point. If not, good luck in Kansas City! |

Ah Kings fans. Always so full of knowledge. They're known for their passion for hockey. In one of the biggest cities in the country they still can't develop a real fan base. Even with FINALLY winning a Cup you guys still struggle to be taken seriously. If the NHL moved a team after a few years of struggling, every single team would have been relocated by now. I assume you haven't bothered to look up any sort of facts or numbers, have you?
Maybe today is the day Matt Barry gets more than 15 comments in his thread! Yup, Kings fans are really coming out in droves. |

You're way off base son. They are currently building a state of art arena and the Seattle fans are very passionate about their teams. The great Sonics will be back and the NHL should be there soon as well. - Orpik44
Lol. Wut? I'm way off base? Does the city of Seattle have an agreement with an NBA team to return?
Because they can't even break ground on a new arena until that happens. Unless of course the article that was posted 3 days ago is wrong and you're somehow right, even though I lived in that area and followed along quite closely.
Seattle is passionate about their teams? No they're not. They care about the SEAHAWKS. That's IT.
No other team from that area will win anything, ever. Because? Because they won't spend the money to compete, because they don't draw the business. Duh.

Irony coming from a Pens fan. What happens when Crosby, Malkin, Letang and Fleury leave or retire? And your starter is Andy Chiodo again? |

Average attendance this year is 8686. Average ticket price is conservatively 12 dollars. so about 3.5 this season in gate, another 1-2 mil if they go the distance in playoffs, and concessions, merchandise, etc...
EDIT: 8686 is actual attendance mind you, paid attendance is higher. |

Can we stop with the "Ironic coming from a _____'s fan" replies? Seriously. I could post this to you after every single comment you make. I know I do it too sometimes, but it sort of loses it's effect if you do it every time.
The Penguins had a few tough seasons, show me a team that hasn't gone through that when they finished near the bottom of the standings consecutively. Other than the Leafs who's crazy fans continue to pay out top dollar for a losing product, which team has remained a money maker when being a bottom feeder? It's how it goes in sports, genius. Your team does well, they sell tickets. They so sh!tty, they don't sell tickets. As a Panthers fan you should know this. |

It's just funny any time any fan from anything poopsburgh gets on another team for anything related to attendance or for the bandwagon. Our team didn't need to be "saved" our numbers were never bad enough that the team threatend to relocate. So when Mushhead finally forgets how to add and calls it a career, you will be in the same boat as the panthers and the yotes. Because your fans suck.
