Still have major question marks about Morrissey's D and ability to handle the pounding of NHL forecheckers. I don't see Wennberg as a player who will ultimately be a top-six guy in the NHL.
- bmeltzer

I like Morrissey but in watching Prince Albert be swept he and the team didn't show up at all.

Bryz is accused of falling asleep at a team meeting? Its obvious he falls asleep in net during games but at team meetings?
- tmlfan69

Took you a few days to come up with that, eh?

i think it's a little closer than that to be honest, but i def like backes better. both play some stupid hockey at times.
- isaiah520

I think each guy is more valuable to their current team. Hartnell, for the rough year he's had -- mostly because of injury -- is still a leader in the dressing room. He's due for a nice comeback season.

Looking forward to 19-28-93 next season.

I have seen him ranked very high.. but I dont buy it.. at best it will take him 4-6 years to become a steady presence in the NHL.
- jak521

I don't know it takes him that long but London has had a deep team and is in a spot that they don't have to rush any player and can bring them along slowly.

I think I'd rather trade this #1 pick before I'd trade Schenn, to be honest.

The kid would literally skate through walls of fire if asked. You have to love that. To boot, he is very skilled.

As am I.

I think a fresh start and a full summer camp, after having a good bit of time to rest, recoop, and clear the mind should do them all wonders.

actually, no. i was trying to think of somebody who can convert chances in a variety of scoring situations and i didn't want to go w/ a stammer or teemu, so JVR popped into my mind- sorry.

it might have more value and i'm wondering if there are some real snipers in this draft. if i'm drafting a forward, that's the kind of guy i'd want. maybe we'll get lucky and get the top pick so it would be a moot point.

at that juncture, i don't think that was the big consideration. more about the NTCs and concerns about how comfortable those two were. as usual, the org enabled their share of this.
- isaiah520

Well, I'm not going to touch the 'org making them comfortable' part, but I'll agree that the declining burden of their cap hits over time did not outweigh to short term inflexibility they represented, in the minds of management.

I just heard this fantastic story a few minutes ago. Obviously the Flyers aren't a subject that's normally worth my time but this one had LOL written all over it. Sorry I didn't notice it sooner though.

Ill take MacKinnon over him in a heartbeat.. MacKinnon is gonna be one hell of a player.. and has MUCH better wheels and some serious swagger.

But Barkov could step in right away... I feel like he is a lot like Ville Leino when Leino was on his game. Better passer than a shooter.. was a very solid two way player... had tons of creativity and could posses the puck very well.

- jak521

My slogan has been "Stop Winnin, get MacKinnon" and if all holds, is the guy I want. I didnt know Barkov hurt his shoulder and his team got ousted. What really intrigues me about him is the Skill and Size package. He's more than holding his own against physically more mature players and is still developing.

I just pray they dont dont serevalli (i refuse to spell his poopty name correctly) up and get more that 3 pts over the next 9 games

great. we'll play him into the ground as a rookie with no time in the ahl, he'll implode in first playoffs, and then he'll get immediately traded to a sad-sack franchise and go on to a HOF career, with multiple vezinas and cups.
