Pacioretty is a whiner. But a good hockey player. Didn't compete much last night.
Desharnais is killing the team. He gets all the offensive zone faceoffs because he is too much of a liability in the d zone. Gallagher is the one producing offense on that line. And he would bring compete and offense to the habs other top two lines. Ryder should play with Desharnais and Patches the wolverine.
Leafs took advantage of a habs team that was playing reserved hockey. I hate admitting it but the leafs look better for the playoffs than the habs
edit: but I think you'll see Kadri get mucked around alot. Leafs can't rely on heavy minutes by Mclaren or Orr to protect him. - blarneylad
Kadri is far from a big guy. But I'm fairly certain he'll drop his mitts if need be. You're right though, knowing there's a few cavemen on that bench sure deters some from running him. Do I want him to throw down? Not really. But I know how it goes. You can't go around throwing the body like a pinball and expect nobody to come knocking. I am man enough to admit that I was poopting on Kadri as much as the next guy when he was down in the A. Nice they took the time and let the kid learn down there (even though the AHL is a league to develop skills lol) |

1) National game? C'mon. Both these teams get all of their games televised. They don't care about that crap. Or at least not enough for it to make a difference in performance.
2) Habs ended up outshooting the Leafs. I didn't watch the game so I can't make a real comment, but statistically speaking, the idea of Habs losing more than Toronto winning does stand. Not saying it's right, just saying that if the shoe was on the other foot, we'd hear about it just because the stats say so.
3) Habs putting up a stinker here is NOT something to worry about. It happens to all teams. What is alarming for the Habs is that it seems to me like they've come out with more consistent crap efforts for the last little while and that is more worrisome than the one game where they happen to be facing the center of the universe. - kev1586
Everyone outshoots Toronto, for some reason it hasn't seemed to matter.

Yup, and Yost's Corgi and Fenway park stats, or whatever the (frank) they are, have gone into meltdown |

ever think the struggle might be a little bit of them wanting to play the leafs in the first round. Pitsburgh did it a few years ago to play ottawa - habsrock71
A coach would never ask his player to play poorly and you'd never get a whole team to buy into that anyway. The only way that happens is if the coach decides to "rest" some of the better players and Montreal aren't doing that yet. |

That's why I didn't say "Love Boat" or "Ted Lange" or "Isaac" - I wanted them to have to work a little. |

No need.
The vast majority of people picked both our teams to finish out of the playoffs. One team is in, and one is close to making it.
Last night was one game in which not a lot went right for the Habs. It happens.
Plus, there is my avatar pic. |
