Habs fans dream of playing the Bruins. I'm sure someone here can give you the stat, but it's about 100-1 in playoff series for the Habs.

The Bruins are to the Habs what the Sens are to the Leafs.

It's a pretty good record, indeed. Even in 2011, when they won the cup, the Habs took them to to the 7th game in OT.

I am sure they remember. Not like there was a Leafs playoff game that night or week or previous 6 years..

From the Habs website:

The Boston-Montreal rivalry is particularly strong in the postseason, as the Canadiens have emerged victorious in 24 of the 32 series. From 1946 to 1987, the Habs won all 18 playoff series between the two bitter opponents.

he likes to hit guys when the puck isn't near
- stinger67

Pucks near him for sure...but he likes to blindside guys..at least it wasn't a charge..but I know what you mean and because he's a smaller guy..he sort of jumps into the hits a little bit...sorta like Otts hit the other night on Gally but without taking 6 strides.

yep especially sweet when they beat them with Orr at his peak in 71 - Habs had 91 pts Bruins 121. Top 4 NHL scorers were Espo, Orr, Bucyk and Hodge.

Way to escalate it. Interesting no gifs of Prust landing a couple of solid shots to the head of McLaren..or at the least swinging the big man around? I guess it doesn't fit into the freight train image.

But the fact that he landed most of them when McLaren was off-balance on the ice... that fits with the Habs image

Carey price lost that game for the habs

would help if to score more than once too though

- blarneylad

Ya its all careys fault because your D had nothing to do with it,your fowards couldnt get off the sidewalls..

This is what piss's me off about the habs fans, its a team game so when you win its because the team played well and when you lose its because the TEAM poop the bed..

All you habs fans need to learn its not just the goaltenders fault..Trust me i know, ffs im a leaf fan and been threw this alot..When we lose i dont blame the goalie i blame the team for the lose..If the d was awake then it woulda been a dif story..

He started it!

I'd give the fight to Prust on a split decision, but it wasn't anything to write home about, and it sure as poop didn't have the desired effect.

If Prust wanted to wake up his team, he should have punched Price and Budaj.

Oh no, Prust was smart... put up the best effort against McLaren I've seen all year so kudos to him. Prust is a guy I was hoping that Burkey would pick up last offseason.

But most of his shots were when MacLaren was down.

The fact that after Mclaren landed a couple himself then prust didnt want to throw fistacuffs he was more concentrated on trying to get Mclarens shirt push up over his face so he couldnt see..
