Did they play as bad as the score indicates or worse?
- Pecafan Fan

For many parts of the game, you were as good. The Leafs PK has been phenomenal however, and it basically came down to the fact that we took our chances (and took them early), and from there, there was no way back. I've certainly seen teams play significantly worse and come away with 2 points.

Derek Willis (Bulldogs play-by-play guy) talking about the Hamilton Bulldogs on tsn690, saying that of the rookies brought up with the team the last few weeks, Charles Hudon is the most impressive.

Sounds like a case of "getting you back broken early by bad goals against".

That first period was all Habs for the most part. I thought for sure the Leafs would let them back in .

For sure.

The first goal was a beauty of a play; the second goal was a "Price is not right" horror show; the third should have been dealt with easily but ended up sliding through the wickets.

And then he was gone.

I thought Budaj did a good job not letting the score get higher with all the odd man rushes the Leafs got after he came in. Played pretty good.

Even in the second period, the building had a lot of nervous energy. I think a lot of us were expecting the Leafs to let them back in.

Funny game.

Worst part was it totally killed the energy of the Habs fans - there was a bit of a rally when Montreal scored, but it died quickly.

Leafs fans vs. Habs fans is usually a lot more fun.

Oh Lord, please allow us to meet in the playoffs.

If the Leafs weren't controlling the game physically then I might have been nervous. I felt that despite letting up the shots, which is normal for the Leafs, they controlled most of the game.

Looks like Leafs want to play Habs and Habs want to play Sabres.

Funny, the Habs have had the Bruins number handily this year. Everyone on the Leafs board is saying how we want to avoid the bruins, but I don't think the Habs would be too bothered by playing them...

Why?

We have a better goaltender than the Leafs does (when he shows up).

We have a more complete forward line-up than the Leafs do.

You have a better D corps, especially with Emelin gone.

I know you guys are new to the idea of playing someone in the playoffs, but we here are used to playing past April for about 6 or 7 games. If there's anything we've learned from playing Boston through the better part of the last decade, it's that regular season means very little come playoff time.

Ya beating you guys 3 times out of 4 games so far this year proves your goalie is alot better then ours..

I was really, really happy when the Habs drafted him, let alone in the 5th round. Wanted him as soon as the 3rd round. His injury list is worrisome but beside that, he's a keeper.

Habs fans dream of playing the Bruins. I'm sure someone here can give you the stat, but it's about 100-1 in playoff series for the Habs.

The Bruins are to the Habs what the Sens are to the Leafs.

Eller's line did have a good game against Grabovski. I understand why you like it so much.

The rivalry is far from what it is with the Bruins, at least for me. Losing a game to the Bruins gets me cranky. Cannot say the same about the Leafs.
