They've proved all season that they have a lot of character and the effort has been there almost every game. A let down after clinching a playoff spot (and being virtually guaranteed home ice) is to NOT a big deal.

Once the playoffs stat, then it will matter.

kinda hope on one hand we play the Leafs 1st round but on other hand 1st in NE would be nice and watch Bruins sweep Leafs out. Rangers or Isles may be better matchup.

Philly sucks and beat us last time plus after Sat night Price need a solid start.

Price has been solid all year. A few bad games and his worst career start don't define anything. If he poops the bed in the playoffs then there is reason for concern.

Being the second seed and having home ice, not playing the Pens in the second round IS a big deal.

Either way, Toronto isn't getting out of round 1. 5 games tops vs. either Montreal or Boston.

Assuming the top 4 seeds advance, which is unlikely...and we'd have to play those teams to go far anyway. The leafs totally outplayed Montreal in the first game and in the 6-0 thrashing but they're not a better team.

Not sure why habs fans would WANT that.
