Not our greatest effort against the Wings this year but I'll take the W. Know it's a shootout goal but Saad with a sick move and just a joy to watch the kid develop.

Still 2 games per year - plus guaranteed 2 against the other original 6.

Good point...but nowhere near the glory days when Chicago would come to T.O. 2-4 times a year

I loved Saad's s/o move, very slick indeed.

I also liked how Frolik was working on Toews' game tying goal, he was buzzing.

I grew up in TO as a Blackhawks fan, that was an intense rivalry. I remember Felix Potvin stoning Eric Daze and Patricl Poulin.

He was due to switch it up....he'd been stymied on a couple of nice FOREHAND moves...book was out on him to a certain extent and he basically told advance scouts...PHUG OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF......i'll go BACKHAND SHELF

hwks much better coming from behind than holding a lead...nice to see that and not another 3rd period blow-up.

with all do respect to the wings...i don't think they played or looked desperate; rarely did they carry the play...hwks pens helped them alot

hwks were dominate the first 10 minutes...two or 3 hwk chances just escaped going in

stals...that guy creates chances gme after gme with speed and quickness; the ot set-up was a beaut but howard up to the stop

what is there left to say about the hwk pp....i just give up; but when you are the best 5 on 5 team in the nhl by far i guess the putrid pp is just a mild annoyence

If the Hawks don't take so many silly penalties the Hawks destroy Detroit tonight.

Agree that Detroit didn't look like they cared.

I know I was all like "oh damn I don't wanna cheer for a certain match up but imagine if the Wings choke away the season and Dallas gets in as the 8. That would be very sexy.

Very intense...the '94 playoff loss to Toronto was heartbreaking since it closed The Stadium...but the '95 series win in 7...with Poulin's goal in Game 7 being the dagger at the UC...that series win made me very

Agreed...his motor is phenomenal...JUST WISH...he could rediscover the scoring touch he had in Florida...but fear that bubble has burst.

Love the way he has come to play every game. He was riding the bench a lot last year and whenever he's been given the chance he plays like he appreciates it. For a guy who had more of a scoring touch in FL and top line minutes, he could totally be a mope and hang his head but to his credit he hasn't and has embraced his role.

If he starts scoring in the playoffs like he did last year, I'd be more than ok with that.

If you were still doubting how Stalbergs speed makes this team so much better I hope the half dozen examples on display tonight have changed your mind.....

The two chances late in the game where it felt like I was a prized race horse.....were breathtaking...

Obviously it would be great if Frolik re-Gaines his 20 goal form, but even if he doesn't he still brings a lot to the team. I think Frolik will be counted on heavily for depth in the playoffs and I expect he'll deliver.

I ripped him for the dumb penalty that led to the first goal...but you're right...he was SPECIAL late in this game...if Bicks had scored there...that would have been AWESOME..but we got the W...but Stals was FLYING.

Imagine if he could finish like Stamkos ?

still waiting for that dominance at home to assert itself....it is more than obvious that this team has two personalities. They are dominate on the road and play a complete and very aggressive gme..at home not so much. Look at he scoring differential for Kane/Toews home away. Those guys are road killers 2x as many pts on the road as at home!

If he could finish he would be a super star......there was one play where he was standing still as a red wing was going for the puck 20 ft away....got on his horse and caught up to him in a matter of seconds.......when he is on the ice just follow him...your jaw may drop once or twice.

Go ack to before expansion: 14 games per year against each team, PLUS play-offs.

Talk about time for resentments to build....

Right on! I hope they are able to ink him to a deal in the offseason to the point where he's a Hawk for at least a few more years. Not sure it will happen but would be nice.
