Roy should have been traded a year earlier. We would have got more than a 3rd liner and a 7th defenseman for a center who has scored 80+ points 2x

We got rid of the only skill and experience we had down the middle of the ice for a 3rd line grinder who plays borderline dirty hockey.

Roy disliked the coach, as did many other players. We made a coaching change, and the players have responded much better than when Ruff was here.

No, hes not worth an increase to $6M because hes lost a step since injury his quad. And his time here is done and over with, I'm okay with that now. Roy has been severely underpaid on his current contract. He shouldve been making Pominville money.

He's saying the team has improved since the coaching change. He's also saying that if we still had Derek Roy, we would have improved PP, PK, puck possession and less penalties. I'd say both of those assumptions are pretty ridiculous.

He averaged 19 PP points per season, his replacement at the #1C, Hodgson, has like 3 = last in PP

He was a good penalty killer, and #1 on the team before he got injured (#2 last year) = last in PK

Compare Rolston's record to Ruffs. We were 6-12 and something under Ruff.

Roy needed to go IMO, but it should have been 2 years ago after he had 35 pts in 35 games, and 2 years left on a cap friendly deal. These are the trades Darcy never makes, waits until players are virtually worthless

Lindy shouldve been gone long before Roy "had to go."

He's a 3rd liner. Who takes bad penalties, gets no respect from the referees and is the 2nd worst puck posession forward on a team that has trouble possessing the puck. He would be a horrible captain
