I thought this team was going to play so much more inspired hockey without the softee Jason Pominville on the team. Ott wearing a letter has really turned things around.

+1. He may be a bit silly and a bit reckless at times. But the guy's got what NONE of this disintegrating core has sans probably Miller. And that's serious heart and serious passion. He shows it. He's a hard ass worker. He's a team player. He SHOWS he cares. He's one of the last men on this team I'd want to trade.

Compared to other teams, we have been playing the most games. Other teams have 1 or 2 games on hand.

If you are looking for pure hockey skills, yes, he won't be a good captain.

There was a reason he was traded along with another player for basically what turned out to be a 2nd round pick. This team is worse with Ott than it was with Roy, and I wasn't a Roy fan. Im happy he hits and is intense and will put up a few goals. Him being captain is an awful idea. The refs don't even give him the benefit of the doubt on a blatant high stick

why is this coming up ?

A big part of it was also the change in the management team, big difference between the "ghost" Gauthier & Bergevin. Also, Therrien is a much different coach then his last stint in Montreal and MUCH different then Martin. I really do hope your Sabres gut the management team.

Yeah you could can Darcy just to can him. But dude knows talent and he makes great trades. All he has to do is stop falling in love with his own picks just because they did well in the AHL. Then 2, stop giving everyone 7 mil a year.
