Petr Straka’s Flyers contract: 3 years, $832,500 + $277,000 signing bonus per @RenLavoieRDS.

- Jsaquella

Obviously, think pretty highly interesting. Was that the maximum allowed signing bonus allowed in the new CBA? Just curious, how they came up with that number.

So now Ryan is comparable to Malkin and Crosby? Seriously. Ryan can be obtained if the Flyers chose to, but it was just one name. I've listed what I think the team needs and it's very obtainable.
- jstross

Where did I say that Ryan was comparable to Malkin and Crosby? I don't think it's reality for the Flyers to acquire Ryan without giving up one of their young forwards, or at least giving up somebody on the current team. And I'll add again that I don't feel that the team needs a 1st line forward.

Not sure about that. The new CBA hasn't actually been completed yet.

I like the Flyers signing of Petr Straka. Apart from his overager numbers in the Q this year, he has definite NHL-caliber tools (speed and good hands). Back in 2010, some projected him as a first-round pick. He didn't really develop much, so Columbus didn't sign him, but then he had the huge overage season this year.

No risk signing with a potential high yield.

Turn the Flyers-Sens game on. Pitts and TB can be bad to watch.

No relation. Good speed and hands. Low risk, potentially high reward

Honestly could not say. I'm only going off what the various prospect sites and CHL writers say about him, and youtube videos

They said on Hockey Central that it's still not at the point where it can even be ratified officially and signed. It's been a running joke on that show for months. They mention it almost every day.

Safe to say, the Flyers are losing the puck possession battle, very badly.

"I had an interesting chat with an old buddy between periods who is the head of pro scouting for a top Eastern Division team. He thinks that the Flyers wil buy out Bryz and bring in Roberto Luongo next year. That would certainly cost plenty of Comcast dollars but that's ok, they'll just raise you cable bill a little more."

Bobby Lou is one of my favourites but that's not how I was hoping to acquire him if it happened.

If Luongo is bought out, great. But if they have to trade assets....
