This would be a solid 4 lines IMO

Ryan-G-Voracek
Read-Schenn-Gagne
Hartnell-Couts-Simmons
Rinaldo-Hall-Talbot

- jstross

I like Hall but I need an upgrade for my 4th line center. I dont know about projecting Gagne into the top 6.

Flyers need a puck moving DMan, a first line Forward and another goalie to compete with Mason. 1st line forward makes their 2nd and 3rd lines better. No top line Dmen to be had. You make the team beA tter were you can.
- jstross

A first line Forward would be nice. But I don't feel it is a top need for the team. And a buyout of Bryzgalov is not a given.

I'd really like to know how you acquired Ryan in this scenario.

Why do you need an upgrade over Hall for the 4th line Center spot?

I'd like them to buyout Bryz, but I agree it's not a given. I would just hate to see him get hurt. I really like the way Mason handled the puck. Something that would go a long way to helping the Flyers get out of their own zone.

There is no Cap hit for a compliance buyout, right? Which differs from a normal buyout?

Agreed.

I'm sure Briere likes California and the Ducks would be thrilled to have him.

Seriously. We dont need Bobby Ryan nearly as much as we need to fill big holes elsewhere. He's local. Yay. Leafs fans think every local kid is their savior. Let's not be that.

Boyd Gordon would be the target with Hall as a fall back

I don't see Anaheim trading Ryan for what I'd give up. Something like 2013 2nd, 2014 1st and Cousins. I meant Cousins, I like Laughton.

Okay, but that didn't really answer the question. And he wouldn't be my target, for a number of reasons. First of all, Gordon is playing almost 15 minutes a game in Phoenix. Do you think he would be okay with having his icetime substantially reduced here in Philly? Then there is the question of contract. Gordon would likely cost twice what Hall would cost Cap wise. With the Cap going down, and the Flyers tight to the Cap, may not be such a good idea.

If you think they'd do that then maybe Homer can nip at the edges to lesson the sting like get a 2014 back or something. I'd love to see a goal scorer teamed up with G and Voracek.

So then how realistic is the lineup you posted? Adding Ryan, while also keeping all of Voracek, B Schenn, Couturier, Read, and Simmonds?

You can have that with a healthy Hartnell.

Theoretically the lotto pick, if high enough could do it. That said there are sooooooo many better ways to put that pick to use.

Most top 6 guys that play with Giroux turn into goal scorers.

Definitely not using that fist rounder to rent Ryab for a year.

I don't know what he'd sign for, I just want good players on the team. We could move him around in our bottom 6. I like that he plays almost 15 minutes. He will likely see close to that knowing all the penalties the Flyers take. How bout we compromise and let Feds go, give the money to Gordon and resign Hall too. Sound good?

Just5 deleted his post but he said Anaheim would do it. It doesn't have to be Ryan, but IMO they need and can get a top 6 forward with picks and a prospect considerring were they're picking.

He simply posted a forward lineup he'd like to see. Should he post his GM credentials along with it?

I deleted it bc originally Laughton was in there I dont know if theyd do it with Cousins. I wouldnt have much interest in the deal either way.

Honestly?

Sorry, you post something along those lines you're begging for someone to ask you "how?"

With that logic you guys are going to get real tired of me saying we should keep the all top 8 forwards on the team but add Stamkos to the top line.

So imagine what G can do with a true goal scorer. Doesn't have to be Ryan, but a true goal scorer could be lethal with G and Voracek.
