They should let the agents for the players come out before the game, at half time and after it's over to talk smack about players on the other teams. That would make it more awesome.

Or allow folding chair hits, break away tables and full body slams.

June 15th-30th. Doubtful they find a taker.

Most of the teams that he'd agree to accept a trade to probably would be interested in him only if it was as a playoff rental or if the Flyers agreed to eat some money

- Jsaquella

He gets 3.3 million for refusing a trade and getting bought out. And then he gets more money on top of it on his new deal next year.

He will make more money in one year in this situation than in two years if he waives his no trade to play out the remainder of the contract

Just throwing out an idea. His actually salary is cheap so maybe a team needing to take on his cap hit might be interested. Long shot though!

Except he likely wouldn't waive to go to a city that is looking to reach the floor.

Most teams like that he'd probably refuse to waive for. They had one shot to trade him, at the TDL.

I'd be really surprised if they found a trade partner. I'd be extremely happy if they do, though.

I'm only suggesting that they may try before buying him out which is the most likely scenario

I follow guys from almost every NHL city. Aaron Portzline is good from Columbus. Chris Johnston from Sportsnet is another good one. Aaron Ward, James Duthie and Gord Miller from TSN. Greg Wyshinski from puck daddy, Nick Cotsonika, Jesse Spector, Pierre Lebrun.

I follow more beat guys from other cities than I do Philly

Oh, I'm sure they'll try, just don't see it being very probable.

When is the buyout period again?

Any chance the Flyers try to trade Briere before that period begins?

- stveshdy

Yes
But it'll cost the Flyers a second round pick

You don't think Ryan would be a big upgarde over Hartnell on the first line? I think Ryan is over rated, but Hartnell is a 3rd line forward, 2nd tops.

It depends on what Hartnell is going to show up. If it's the Hartnell of last year, no Ryan is not a big upgrade. The Hartnell of this year, he is. Hartnell when he is on his game, playing with Giroux, is a first line forward. If you're asking me if I would trade Hartnell for Ryan, I would. Because Ryan is younger.

If he werent local his name would never be mentioned with this team. Maybe one day when he is a FA, but it's true.

Flyers need a puck moving DMan, a first line Forward and another goalie to compete with Mason. 1st line forward makes their 2nd and 3rd lines better. No top line Dmen to be had. You make the team beA tter were you can.

This would be a solid 4 lines IMO
