i feel like last season they would practically pay fans to go.

a $20 ticket would get you like 10 free beers and 10 free hot dogs and a free jersey and 2 more tickets to 2 other games

They don't leave their comment section. They are like North Korea, they stay to themselves, praise their Dear Leader in Kim Jong Lamoriello, and have no clue how good the rest of us have it. I just hope they don't fire a missle at the Colisseum tomorrow night.

Absolutely. Who's to say we wouldn't even move further up the standings and continue to gain ground (not catch) on Pittsburgh? This team started slow and has seemingly come together. While you could argue that perhaps they'd hit a slump and drop again or tread water from this point on, evidence to the contrary suggests that we're a young team who has finally found the right combination of size/speed, talent/power and will.

I'm not going to knock the Rangers because I believe they're starting to peak as well, though I will say I don't think the Rangers were quite as good as perceived. They over-acheived over the last couple of years and now folks have come to expect that same performance or better. We'll see. The Rangers are a 'good team'. Not elite in my book. The Isles are an average team who have appeared to become 'good'. I think both teams are clearly capable of taking the other to a game 7 in a series and given the impact players we expect to arrive next year along with available cap space, we may very likely pass the Rangers within the next year or so.

our division is gonna suck so much to play in. got the surging isles, the doochebag flyers, the fairy penguins, the RAGING RANGERS, the ovechkin-lead capitals, the up-and-coming columbus rangers, and eric staal. and ummm that other poopty team thats gonna be at the bottom of the atlantic for the next 10 years.

Paid $8 3 times last year in the upper section. Halfway through the first period it was announced " everyone move down and pick your own seat down low" Awesome promotion. Free parking at the Marriot too.

i've never seen a guy miss so many breakaways
- rangerdanger94

Yea, his speed and skating is unreal....wish he would convert on those breakways every once in a while. If Neilsen got that many, he would pull his signature deke to backhand and score.
Well at least Gabby is gone, he used to always score against the Isles.

Yeah, he absolutely is bad in that department. But he has a pretty good wrist shot from the slot, which is how he's gotten most of his goals this season.

Enjoy that while you can because I can only imagine how much a game will cost at the Barclays Center.

islanders are 2 points in the playoffs at a point that would be half way through the season if it was an 82 game season and you guys are getting cocky and all high and mighty

do you really think your isles would be able to keep this up for 41 more games if it was a real season?

- rangerdanger94

no one is getting cocky or high and mighty...you are for some reason under the impression that if it were a full season, its a foregone conclusion the rangers would be fine and the isles wouldnt. thats certainly cute and fun to play but you stick to the what-could-have-been we'll discuss the what-is-currently-going-on

better them than us! We've completed our prison term...it's parole time for Red...we plan to cash in that money under the oak tree in Buckston and head to Zihuatanejo with the cup...someday....hopefully.

they did last season and could've this season if we had a training camp to properly prepare a team and get everyone on the same page that has over 50% new forwards from last season.
- rangerdanger94

level playing field...EVERY team had the same lack of preparation...had you commented in here 2 weeks ago, you would have seen how much people wanted guys like okposo and bailey gone...maybe they just needed to get their strength from missing training camp.

Oh, the Rangers will score. And since its getting late in the season, and the games are getting bigger and bigger, Johnny "Red Light" Nabokov, is sure to revert to late season form on Saturday night, and suffer the same old big game sunburn on the back of his neck that he always has.

arguably our best player for the last fifteen games but OK

I think the matter of fact is that with a shortened seaosn, you never know what could have happaned in a full season. I dont think its correct to assume that any team would be where they are in the standings if it were a full seaosn. Isles could be higher or lower, you just never know. Both teams are playing really well as of late but none of us will know where either team will stand in a full season until next year. I will have to assume that the Isles will upgrade the roster this offseason. In fact, we dont have a choice with all that cap space.

Before the three-game stretch against Philly, Boston and NYR, I felt like they needed to get 4 out of 6 points. Didn't think they'd get them in those first two games, but I feel a little better heading into tomorrow's crapshoot knowing that if it doesn't work out for the Isles, they're still in decent shape if come out flying against the Panthers after that.

That said, going 3-for-3 in that stretch and getting some separation from the Rangers and Jets would be awesome.

you guys shoulda just tanked 1 last year and got seth jones. then your team would really be scary in the future you'd have all your needs filled besides goalie with blue chip prospects.
- rangerdanger94

Seth Jones would've been a nice addition not going to lie but I don't think any of us would give away what we've had for the last fifteen games for anything. We've been a little starved for some winning for a while now

Jeez...even Isles fans keep overlooking Grabner when it comes to scoring! Anyone besides me notice the guy has just as many goals as Moulson (13) while getting absolutely no power play time, not playing with Tavares (OK, one of his goals came in the one game he got to play with him) and playing most of the season with Keith Aucoin??
- UIF

I noticed, huge fan of his. The guy scores with our worst players at times. Seems to get zero respect from the coaching staff? Easily the best PK'er this team has seen in years. He does'nt get enough credit.

I've also never seen a guy have so many breakaways. He is entertaining to watch, seems to score goals at the best times. Incredible PK'er. Makes every player at the point nervous on the PP when he's on the PK. He's a great player. With that said he has hands of stone. I think this year he has accepted that and has started shooting more than trying to deke. Has a pretty decent shot.
