Let's say that Islanders finally found their stride and identity of the team. I love what Islanders did in each game from first period to last. I always felt that in previous seasons, Bailey didn't show his true color on ice. Finally this is what We have seen the last few games. Maybe SNow knows something we didn't. We trust in General SNow! Let's go Islanders. Please beat NYR. make us proud! My fiancee and I was at Panera Bread yesterday and a Islanders fan approached me and said, " we must make the playoffs because it has been so long" I thought to myself that it wasn't that long since we made it in 07. But I realized that in our heads, it didn't really count because we got lucky. As this season goes, I just want us to make it because we are able to....not just because we got lucky! Let's go Islanders!!!

islanders are 2 points in the playoffs at a point that would be half way through the season if it was an 82 game season and you guys are getting cocky and all high and mighty

do you really think your isles would be able to keep this up for 41 more games if it was a real season?

- rangerdanger94

IDK? Maybe? I don't think most teams could play at the level they've been playing for about fifteen games? Do you think the Rangers could play at that level for 82 games?

they did last season and could've this season if we had a training camp to properly prepare a team and get everyone on the same page that has over 50% new forwards from last season.

They've only shown improvement, they haven't regressed, so yeah, I think they would only climb higher and higher in the standings if they had more games. It's called growing and geling as a team...a homegrown core coming together. Mark my words, these Islanders will be a pain in your ass for a very long time. Get used to it.

your team is literally tavares and that's it buddy
- rangerdanger94

Josh Bailey disagrees. I guess you have'nt been watching the last 15 games? One of the reasons we've been winning is bcs od secondary scoring. How many goals or points did Tavares get in last nights game? Think before you post or at least have limited knowledge in what you THINK you know what you're talking about.

Just like every other team in the league. Don't start with the Rangers are mediocre bcs of this or that BS. Come on man, you're only fooling yourself.

oh i don't doubt that you guys are gonna be a pain in our ass for a very long time (you already have been the past few seasons).

you guys are playing really great right now but i'm just saying that if this was a full 82 game season, you guys probably wouldn't be able to keep it up the whole way. that's just how it goes with young teams. you get stretches of great play and then stretches that make you wanna pull your hair out.

They did play great last year but you can't use a shortened training camp as an excuse. Every team had to deal with it. Most of the other teams that were predicted to be towards the top of the standings are where they were predicted to be.

They are blaming the Rangers lack of scoring on a 48 game season. How would adding more games make Richards and company learn how to score? And how would adding more games make the Isles forget how to score?

if you're gonna use that argument i'm gonna use brassard as an argument when you say the rangers have no offense.

i'm not gonna use it as an excuse. we played ourselves into this situation and with the talent we had at the beginning of the year, we should be higher in the standings. unfortunately, it just wasn't our year to tear up the regular season.

Great questions with zero legitimate answers. Nothing but excuses. How about, "we just are'nt that good"? None of these guys can accept that?

Our secondary scoring goes beyond Bailey. We got guys like Mcdonald,Okposo, Cizikas Moulson, Martin all contributing.

because this guy was labelled as a bust around the NHL the past couple years. granted, i haven't watched any isles games this season so i'm just going off hearsay.

Can't argue that, it would be ridiculous to think any team could keep this pace, but this team has figured out how to win. Do I think this team would still have a good shot at the playoffs if they played a full season? absolutely.

Who are these "they" you keep referring to? Fictional Rangers' fans friends on facebook?
