Hockey play
- sanfordnson

Even though he hasn't heard from the NHL yet, with the uproar on twitter now, I'm he'll get a hearing before the Oilers next game. It isn't until Saturday, anyway.

Frustration doesn't excuse using your stick as a weapon, since "Ol' Dumb-as-a-bag-of-hammers" pretty much admitted in an interview he intended to slash him on the leg, just not as hard as he ended up doing.

He's a great hockey player, yes, but don't count on him being a meaningful leader with that head on his shoulders.

the "more" he's been doing is largely a result of being great on face-offs. Main reason he's on the PK. ONLY reason he's on the top PP.

I'm like this on it - If Bozak will sign for 3 yrs, $3.5-$3.75M, do it, and move Grabo.

If Bozak's set on getting $4M+, let him get it somewhere else.

- Big_Lightnin

For the love of Spinner's Dad, Leafs fans have got to stop thinking that winning faceoffs is the single most important skill in the history of organized sport.

Let's do some bar napkin math, shall we?

Bozak has a faceoff percentage of 53.4%
Grabbo has a faceoff percentage of 50.9%

Bozak has taken 911 faceoffs over 40 games. That's an average of 22.8 faceoffs a game. He wins an average of 12.2 faceoffs a game.

If Grabbo was given the same amount of faceoffs, based upon his win %, he'd win an average of 11.6 faceoffs a game.

So for all of you Bozak apologists who think that Blowzak is worth $5.5 million a year X six years because of his awesome faceoff ability, we would lose about an extra half faceoff a game without him.

FOR EFF'S SAKES, QUIT LOVING A GUY BECAUSE HE DOES ONE THING WELL!

And if any of you say Komarov is awesome because he trash talks in four languages, I'm going to go put on my Tap-Out shirt...

Homer needs to grow a pair and cut ties with him and Briere this summer...
- Flyfreaky

I can't help but think that the Flyers wil find someone willing to take Briere off their hands, so the Flyers don't have to use up a compliance buyout.

Briere can still play (provided his brains aren't scrambled). He has a good playoff history.

He's probably attractive to a small market team that isn't worried about going over the cap - at $3 milly next year and $2 milly the year after that, he's a bargain.

We're all getting excited trying to remember how great it was watching the Leafs in the playoffs. But can anybody remember the last time the Leafs won a (frank)ing shoot out?
