really?
interesting
bryz is gonna cost a few bucks aint he? - Dozzer
I didn't see the numbers crunch, but I'm assuming if they buy him out they must be looking at some long term savings...Briere's 6.5m hit is a no brainer...Maybe they can bundle and save... |

Grabbo was a nightmare in OT - his drop-passes at the blueline were Spezza-esque.
I love the guy, but c'mon, he has to be more responsible than that.
Too bad he didn't pot that one with about 2 minutes left, though. That's the Grabbo we need to see more of. - Atomic Wedgie
yeah he still got back in the play, it wasnt a great pass but whatever, u make mistakes when you get no ice time and try to make up for it! |

Bozaks been doing more then just those things for the last half of this season though. - Leafland
the "more" he's been doing is largely a result of being great on face-offs. Main reason he's on the PK. ONLY reason he's on the top PP.
I'm like this on it - If Bozak will sign for 3 yrs, $3.5-$3.75M, do it, and move Grabo.
If Bozak's set on getting $4M+, let him get it somewhere else.

Ok I'm not reading 81 pages to see if this has already been discussed but does anyone else think Grabbo purposely made a crappy shootout attempt as a F.U. to RC for sitting him so much? He seemed pissed tonight and that shootout looked completely mailed in. - tmlfan69

Just watched the hall video of him talking about hte slash last night... he seems to be smirking about it even.
I thought I saw earlier that it was gonna be reviewed but it's not... unbelievable - dragus84
Un(frank)ing believable. What is the nhl discipline team doing? Do they just sit there with there thumbs up their asses, or maybe it's bettmans? |

bryz at 5.6 til 2020
briere at 6.5 for 2 more years.
WOW that would be (frank)ED if they bought that out! - big_dion
Briere only has $5 million TOTAL left in money owed to him. |

I think he was going balls out and trying to score so badly to get out of the dog house. Gambling trying to make something happen
Almost backfired terribly on him... |

I think it would be best to cut them both loose and take the savings however small and move in a different direction... |

Bryz might still be on the bubble, but the length of that contract can't be helping him much...I wish Briere would have let the team trade him, but he's being an bumhole about staying in Philly... |

i wouldnt say he is succeeding.
tied for 34th in the league amongst centres for points.
the job of a first line player is to put up points.. the leafs need a top 20 guy there. |

and he's UFA... and there's a salary cap. Doesn't make sense to have all 3 of Bozak, Kadri, and Kessel on the team, when they NEED McClement to center 3rds line... or at least play 12-15mins per game.
Unless Grabo moves to wing... which isn't a terrible idea.
