seems possible to me.

carlyle has had issues with players in the past..

“Yeah,” Lupul said on Wednesday, when asked by the Toronto Star if he assumed he suffered a concussion. “I mean, no one’s really said that word to me. But I definitely didn’t sprain my ankle.

“I think it’s safe to say I took a pretty solid blow to the head.”

yeah 4 games, i wasnt saying it was a long time, what im saying is that when he was slumping carlyle was doing whatever he could to get him going. tons of PP time, double shifting him, putting kadri on his line, whatever he had to do to get the thrill going.

all im saying is, if grabo got the same treatment, id be he would be doing better now than he is, thats all bruce!

but yeah the kessel slump thing i can see how u read it that way, i was moreso just trying to compare how carlyle "motivates" the player or whatever you wanna call it.

kessel in those games was working hard, he just was getting so unlucky!!

Kessel really is the streakiest guy, 10 goals in his last 20 games despite a 9 game drought in the middle. But it doesn't matter anymore because he's always a threat out there . In that 9 game goaless drought, he put 8 assists while being an even plus/minus player, playing 20+ minutes a night against team's top lines.

No problem with Phil, sure, he's soft at times but the good outweighs the bad and he's the kindof clutch scorer you need in the playoffs. Last time Phil was in the playoffs with the Bruins, they lost to Carolina in 7 games in the 2nd round after sweeping the Habs and he had 6 goals, 11 points in those 11 games

Volchenkov got 5 games for his elbow to Marchands head last night. No say on how he's doing. On a good note Bergeron skated this morning

No where to really put Grabo unless its on the 3rd line.

Kadri has played well enough to be the 2nd line center.

Grabo isnt that great with Kessel. And it seems Bozak is the only one who meshes with him.

Should trade Grabo in the offseason and bring back a real third line center that's cheaper and then some.

- jbold

Bozak seems to mesh with him largely because he simply stays out of the way. Kessel's the big play driver of that line which is why a puck possession centre isn't always the answer with him. The problem is, is that Bozak just skates around. Sometimes he's in the right place for a pass or rebound, often times he's not.

i personally think something bad happened poopty between the two of them

honestly... I think Grabo's sick. like really sick. See him in the interviews after last night's game? looks like he's lost 30lbs... and he was never out of shape.

arms are half the size they were last year.

That Red Sox game sucked last night. An easy strike called a ball that would've ended the game with a win then next pitch grand slam

Honestly I noticed that too. He had his left arm up on the wall right? It looked like he was skinny. I know all hockey players aren't buff but he actually looked like he had no muscle mass anymore

well if thats the case give him a paid leave and let him get healthy

but now that you mention it i can completely see what you are saying

i wonder if all of this is to protect what might be a very personal battle he is dealing with?
