How did Grabo play last night, besides missing his shootout attempt?
- RickJames77

he hardly played at all in the first half, then i think randy realized he has mismanaged this guy for 40 games maybe he will give him a shot.

grabo was flying in the third/OT.

Good to hear. Hopefully he gets more playing time and flourishes. Sucks seeing him have a down year

if randy was smart he would be beside kadri on the wing until lupul got back.

what good is it having this talented player on the 4th line???

randy is making many good choices, but this is by far stupidest decision is holding a grudge on arguably one of our top 3 forwards. (hard to back up this season). but his overall game and production in the last 3 years says otherwise.

what is beyond me is why carlyle hasnt sat him yet.

serious.. just put him in the box for one game and let him look down and watch.. sometimes thats all a guy needs to reset

worth the shot

better than putting him on the 4th line..

thats just stupid.

the funny thing is..

if kessel is poopting the bed, which he was at the start of the season...what does randy do?

he plays kessel way more, he puts kadri with him, he puts him on the PP, he basically does everything he can get the guy going..

what does he do with grabovski?

sits him half the game, tosses him on the third line, puts him in a defensive roll all season and then complains when hes not scoring enough with Frattin, Hamilton, Komarov, Kulemin, etc..

well randy, maybe you should open your eyes and take a reality check.

leafs could have a lot more offense if we didnt have our 5.5 million dollar center on the third/4th line every game getting 10-12 minutes of ice time and none of it on the powerplay, and all of it vs the other teams best lines.

yeah, i wouldnt be surprised to see grabo moved in the off-season.. i dont think he is a carlyle type player

which is (frank)ed really

if anyone was a carlyle type guy it would of been grabo imo.

weird situation there.

Kessel has never been poopting the bed, Even when he wasn't scoring goals he was still producing points. Hence the 26 assists. When Grabo doesn't score all he does is try to deke through the entire team and lose the puck at the blueline.

I liked him between Orr and Mclaren last night. His speed went well with there size and they had lots time in the rangers zone.

On a side note the Leafs are getting sloppy again with getting the puck out of there zone. This concerns me especially if they make the playoffs.

yeah and you know what, im ok with us moving grabovski if this is how were going to use him and his 5.5 mil.

yes hes overpaid, but hell, we are paying tucker and witch nose a mil per year and have been for a few..*(tucker), so the extra 1-1.5 mil gbov is making, that means nothign to me.

but yeah i mean (frank), play the guy as you should, or move him to another team.

his hit is a bit high, but, hes still a good player.

hell he was top 30 centers in points in the last 2 seasons (not bad for a 2nd line center) - who's now playing 3rd/and 4th line minutes??????

a glaring error by carlyle. thats one of those players you try to get going, like he did kessel...not give up.

he holds a grudge, i guess grabo lit up the ducks one night or something.

I could be wrong, but I seem to recall RC making statements to the press at the end of last season that Grabo was basically one of the teams best/hardest working players.

I would not move him this summer, unless it is part of a package that brings the Leafs a sure upgrade down the middle. So basically not going to happen.

4 games.. normally i dont disagree with you but you aare over inflating kessel's "slump"

http://ca.sports.yahoo.co.../nhl/players/3983/gamelog

now, i dont disagree with carlyle's handling of grabo at all.. but dont use the kessel argument to do it.. its got a bit of weak sauce on it lol
