Konopka chirping at Shaw in the box...Z looks like he could be Shawzer's Pops....but then again...so could most players. |

I submit that the fact that he hits so many posts shows he IS accurate - obviously (unlike most Hawk shooters) he's not just aiming for the sweater crest, or (like Hawk defensemen) just wildly shooting from the point. - StLBravesFan
Ahhhh....No. |

Does anyone else finally believe that Oduya is a #5/#6???
I know, I know, not by his pay scale . . . . but like water seeking its own level, his giveaways and poor decision making HAVE been noted by Q and his staff and his TOI is finally being adjusted accordingly.
Through 2:
Keith 17:06
Hjalmarsson 14:26
Seabrook 13:28
Leddy 13:34
BrookSTANK 10:45
Oduya 10:12
I just hope Stanley gets Leddy signed before offer sheets go out. |

To be fair Savvy, I never considered Oduya as anything but. There's a reason he's been a journeyman, and while he can be a smooth skater he also loves to deliver those xtra-large pizza turnovers.
He's overpaid but he's playing where I figured Q would put him by this point, on the 3rd pairing. The sad thing is that his limited offensive ability became non-existant the day he asked Keith to teach him how to pump fake at the worst times and fool nobody. |

Oduya gets a lot more heat than the other d-men. Hammer and Seabrook have been turnover machines this year too |

Interesting talk about the defensemen. I'm still not sure why everyone hates Brookbank so much. I think the fans expect every defensemen to be a Bobby Orr. To me, Brookbank is doing exactly what the Hawks got him for (when he gets ice time). He's there to eat up minutes and he's a good teammate. He sticks up for the others and isn't afraid to scrap. Not everyone is or can be a Shea Weber. A lot of guys aren't on that level but they can fill pieces and gaps that need to be. |
