How's it going, John Gadreau? Nice to see you come in defending yourself with your guns blazing. - Morris
Nah just tired of Oilers fans thinking they know everything about prospects. I like how he talked about Gaudreau's durability at the NHL level and yet RNH has been injured how many times now?

And my point is that out of everything I wrote, the only thing you could attack was the Hobey Baker award. - Talking_hockey1
You wrote a bunch of non-sense that has very little meaning. Just because 5 guys that were small made it doesn't mean he'll make it. But then again those small guys aren't 140lbs either or 5'6", so your point is even less valid. |

To be fair I wouldn't say very little meaning. He has had a lot of success, and put up great numbers. Does it mean he is going to be a superstar NHLer? No, but it at least shows he has a good shot to be one. |

I suspect he stays in College for his 4 years. Rips up the AHL for a bunch of years, struggles to do anything in the NHL and goes to Europe to make some money. |

I wouldn't say that.
What I'd say is he is making the most out of his current situation. |

So out performing every other college player is meaning less non-sense? Even when he's played with guys twice his size? Sure he's a small guy, no denying that, but that seems to be the only thing that you can say against him. The kid can score goals plain and simple.
And i'm not saying he's the next Cosby, not in the slightest, but don't think you know everything about prospects because the Oilers are experts at picking first overall.. |

Stays in College all 4 years, because he needs to mature his body as much as possible before going pro.
Rips up the AHL as guys that play his style generally find success in the AHL.
Fodders back in forth and doesn't succeed in the NHL because that's what the odds tell you.
Goes to Europe because that's the smart thing to do. Can succeed in leagues over there and make a lot more money then playing in the AHL. |

I dont know about that...hes shifty enough like St Louis to handle playing with bigger guys it seems. Playing with the Heat will likely be his test. |

College lacks the physical play. Hey good for him he's doing well there, but being good in College means nothing to me. Every year there I hear about studs from College and every year I see fails.
Andy Miele would be a good example. Marty Serich, Ryan Duncan, Peter Sejna etc... |

Your point? he doesn't have to play physical to play in the NHL, look at the guys I named before, or guys like P. Kane, Steve Sullivan, Derek Roy, Cammelari, all small guys, all skilled and non, with the exception of maybe Cammy (who likes to throw a hit every once in a while) or maybe Sullivan, are overly physical players. Its like Colin said, he's shifty, fast and has great hands. Allow me to educate you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQI_hK390ZU |

You mean the guy who had more points per game then any other college player in the nation? The same guy who is one of the three finalists for the Hobey Baker award as college's top player? And doing all that against every other team's college players? Tell me again how his size is an issue, while you're at it why don't you tell Gionta, Ennis, Gerbe, St. Louis, etc. His size wont matter if he's already past you by the time you try and throw a hit. Not to mention I feel like he did pretty good against your boy RNH in the world juniors, who's the one with a gold medal after that one? oh yeah... And he's not pulling a Tim Erixon, Erixon wanted NHL time and Calgary said no, Gaudreau just wants to play his Junior year at Boston College, wants to stay with his teammates on a good team and go for another championship. Good on him. - Talking_hockey1
Not to mention that he wants to play with his brother next year as well. |

DUDE!?!?! Come on! That's all College is, hence why guys don't put up numbers in NCAA like they do in the CHL. |
