Okay Buffalo! We beat the Rangers for you last night, now if you take care of Winnipeg today you're only 2 points out! DO IT.
I want to see the entire North East division in the playoffs. |

Good point about our winning record with Pardy and Pysyk in the lineup. Both look good out there and are chipping in with points, too. Sabres' game needs their D-men to be involved, and that's one big piece we were missing the first two months of the year.
Also, like Garth pointed out the other day, Weber is playing huge minutes and kicking a$$ in his own way. Homegrown always gives you a better feeling than going commercial. |

Oh, and if Toronto beats the Rangers again tomorrow night that 8th seed is going to start looking really juicy for those hungry teams just a couple points out. |

Ugh, reading these boards can be so depressing sometimes. I understand the desire to have these guys lose and tank but you people have to understand that no one on this team is gonna do that. And you know, it just isn't fun to pray for this team to lose, yes I do understand the fact that getting a high draft pick would be beneficial to this organization.
But the thing is, we have loads of younger talent coming in. More rookies than should be legal on a roster hah, and quite honestly I'd rather have them get on the right footing now than to have them waste all of their potential.

Pardy looks so lazy.. it is nice to be a little more phyiscal but i don't really see him do that much either.
Pysyk looks good for a young kid.. but i am not goign to get too excited because Grags looked good for a while too |

But I do like this team, and I prefer to look and see what other fans are saying about the team. I clearly stated that I understand their position and am not complaining about what anyone said. I never said I didn't like the position, I just pointed out that the team isn't gonna give in to our demands. |

He's doing his damnedest to get us all pumped for a possible playoff push, which isn't really a bad thing. But it's also what he SHOULD be doing regardless. He wouldn't have his job here if he kept telling us how they need to tank.
I do think he might be a tad bit over-optimistic about this though, the playoffs are still a long shot. But part of being a blogger here is always looking at the bright side of things. |

Two seasons ago the Sabres made a late run that seemed to bode well for the next season.

This season the Sabres are making a late run yet again.
Does anyone really think that things will be different next season with the same buffoon running the operation? - Losman
Same result. But it will allow Darcy to keep his job... because next season will be different right? |

I still think the Sabres may just back themselves into a playoff spot, not so much because they're any good, but moreso because nobody else around them is very good either. |

Disagree.
For a sec, let's roll bloggers in with real journalists/sports writers. At this point, some bloggers are better than the "real media." It sounds nice and flowery to think that anyone who reports on a team is going to have a positive outlook and root for the team they cover. In reality, that isn't the case. In Buffalo, the media's outlook on their teams is often negative.
I would rather have realistic and unbiased, than overly optimistic or pessimistic. Wishful thinking though.
Bloggers are no different. I also appreciate that Garth keeps a mostly positive outlook. But he has zero obligation to do so. |

Same goes for for Sabres Hockey. If you don't like them winning or the way they play, don't go to the game or watch them. |
