Were not getting top 3 anyways . I don't wanna wait another year or 2 to be good agin. 1 player will not do it. - cabin
None of us want to wait....but there are three ways to get better
1. throw money at it....possible but may be hard to convince players to come here right now
2. tank and build it over 2- 3 years .....the waiting sux but may have to be the way
3. Trade for it.....and get a bit lucky...do we trust Darcy?

You still in love with your lovable losers ? What the heck eh , even a blind squirrel finds a nut once and a while. Hope you have a long playoff run.
We are just enjoying the spirited play of the team now . Making the playoffs is a long shot . But they are fun too watch again |

For most of the season I wanted them to win....they lost
Now I want them to loose....they win
They are buggering up my entire system here!
The last 3 games we won, yes. But we were outplayed in every one of them. You can't win in the playoffs like that. Draft high... |

I don't know. We have a winning record against many of the likely playoff teams, you never know what could happen in the playoffs.
We will see. I think tomorrow's game is pivotal. We HAVE to win that game. It really is baffling to me that we have basically even or winning records against the ATL and NE divisions and are 2-8-2 against the southeast. Dafuq? |

We have to win through the TB game. Beat WPG. Beat MTL. Beat PHI. Beat TB. We cant afford a regulation loss at the hands of any of these teams. I guess maybe to Montreal. But we have a tough stretch of NYR-BOS-PIT next weekend.
We can lose at most 2 regulation games, but we'd have to win the other 7 (7-2-0 for 62.4% chance of PO).
We can lose at most 1 regulation game, and afford 2 OT or SO losses (6-1-2 for 57.3% chance of PO).
The most we can lose is 4, but they all have to be in a SO or OT (5-0-4 for 52.4% chance of PO).

The only thing I have against the stats you are using, I'm trying to think of the website... Is that they use the likelihood of playoff teams winning against other teams currently. If a team slightly above the playoff cut starts losing it makes those percentages skewed in our favor.
It isn't cut and dry that we have to make those numbers, it is most probable that we have to make those numbers.
Not disagreeing with you in the general idea of what you said though. Its a steep hill.
I'm most worried about Montreal this coming week. We could win that game though because Emelin is hurt and we seem to have their number. Also worried about Boston obviously and closing against Pittsburgh. Other than tomorrow those are the key games, all others are must wins. |

Buffalo ranks 28th in puck possession.
Buffalo ranks 26th in shots against.
Buffalo ranks 30th in times shorthanded (the most).
Buffalo ranks 30th in shorthanded shots against (the most).
Buffalo ranks 25th in shorthanded shots against per penalty kill.
Buffalo ranks 26th on the penalty kill.
Buffalo ranks 6th in times on the powerplay.
Buffalo ranks 30th in SH goals against (the most).
Buffalo ranks 30th in PP% (the worst).
The Sabres special teams is the biggest difference between Miller in his Vezina season, and Miller this season. Because even strength he is performing above his Vezina season.
Also, Buffalo shot up to dead last in the league in times shorthanded because Steve Ott is on this team. Hes #2, just 1 minor away from a share of the lead. - theblueandgold

Can we now stop comparing the Vezina season to any other season. The Vezina season is still the anomaly.
He isn't a god, please stop making him out to be a martyr. He's just a good goalie. |

The team in front of Miller is #28 in puck possession, they are the most penalized team in the league, and they are allowing the most shots on net. And he STILL has a better save percentage at even strength now than he did when he won the Vezina. That doesnt impress you? I'm not allowed to compare this performance to Vezina season? If anything, this season is the anomaly, if only for the poopty team in front of him.

As I said, the Sabres special teams are the largest reason why Miller has poor numbers during them this year. At even strength, he is performing BETTER than his Vezina winning season, and the team is collectively worse in front of him. The numbers are right there for you to digest.

No it doesn't impress me. His job is to stop the puck.
Go back and look at my edit. His Vezina season is still the anomaly by a long shot. |

You forgot I'm from the state of NY, and therefore a Yankees fan. So yes, I do know what its like to be in a championship parade. At the best place in all of NA sports to be at one at that -- The Canyon of Heroes.

I dont think being from Toronto, and winning last in 1967, that youve EVER been a part of a championship parade. All you have are childhood stories of your father or grandfather telling you what it was like.

The Blue Jays won in 92 and 93.
Just saying. |
