I know just saying how everyone goes nuts when he benches guys. Now we're nuts cause he didn't bench a guy
I seriously can't figure this blog out - Slimtj100
It's his lack of feel for who's playing well and who isn't. He has his whipping boys and he has his favorites. How they are playing in-game, is almost irrelevant. Moore actually looked good tonight and should have received more time than he did. Del Zotto looked absolutely miserable and he kept throwing him out there every time he was due for a shift.
He and Girardi were an abomination tonight. |

DZ and girardi were awful. Hank struggled. Nash was spectacular
Edit: down 3-1 tied it. Then :39 seconds later tronna got the gw - Slimtj100
I'm never afraid of the Rangers when Lundquist is in net. Not that he's a bad goalie(at all), but we seem to be better vs him than most teams. |

I know they were. I just think dmen are so much harder to bench, give less minutes, whatever you wana say then forwards are. Logically your putting strain 5 guys as opposed to 11 |

Sorry but the gabby haters are out of their collective F ing
Tree. You don't score 40 on a defense first team without giving
A damn. Ridiculous accusation. |

Well he plays great most nights. He just made 49 something saves. He may have been a lil spent tonight. |

Thanks for the update TJ. At least they showed some fight and battled back. The team last week definitely would have had no shot at tying the game.
I wonder if in Girardi's case maybe the minutes and wear and tear are getting to him. A couple of times this year, definitely more than last year Girardi has been singled out at times for having a tough game. Also, though I guess when you're playing against all the top guys its gonna happen sometimes. I try to give Girardi the benefit of the doubt due to who he plays against and the way Torts runs him into the ground minutes wise. |

He wasn't scoring this year. He was certainly a lightning rod here, my stance is very vocal . I know he did good things here, but his time was up |

Who'd be your ideal goalie of the future? That's get table via trade, FA to be, prospect, etc - Slimtj100
hmm... Hard to say.. Id love to see Price but thats never gonna happen. Maybe someone like Halak would be a good fit in TO. Hopefully Sparks pans out. |

I don't mean just tonight. I mean in general.
Anybody have a site that shows goalie records vs specific teams? |

Yeah no doubt he was in a miserable slump but I don't get why
So many on here just call him a POS - the guy carried
The offense for 2 of the previous 3 years, was an allstar, etc.
Just way too harsh IMO |

Lundqvist is having an off year, period. It's weird to see.
I should clarify, he's not stealing games, like I'm used to seeing. |

Nah. He's the reason they are still kicking. He just doesn't have any shutouts. |

He's a top 5 goalie, I don't think there's any question of that....I'm just saying, for his high standard, he's just not stealing any games for you guys.
Not for nothing, that 3rd period you guys basically controlled the game, that 4th goal, and yes, the coverage was poop in the d-zone, but Lundqvist should have had that save. |

I think Halak is overrated.
Since you guys actually play defense and help your goalies out... IF the Flyers amnesty Bryz, hes worth a flyer. Jonas Hiller might become available. |

Id still take Halak over both Bryz and Hiller. Either way im not too concerned about it. Reimer and Scrivens are getting it done. |

I think Lundqvst has been the most consistent ranger. The teams problem is scoring not goals against. |

I don't disagree with that...I'm just saying, Lundqvist hasn't really stolen any games this season like he usually does. Quite often past seasons, too. He's been pretty human this season. |

I hope no one is on the ledge after tonights game, this team wasn't going to win the last 10, now we go in with a 9 game streak
Seriously it was the worst defensive game of the season and we have 2 days off after Wednesday, they'll be fine, this won't happen again, we'll take the season series on Wednesday, they showed more heart tonight in coming back then in the previous 2 months |
