Russians are a more passionate breed than Slovaks, Czechs, Swedes etc.
Look at Ovechkin as well, could be on the verge of his third MVP season. - MidnightMarauder
And this is after everyone starting saying that Ovi might have flamed out and that coaches "figured him out". |

Just out of curiousity, how do you figure??
Reimer - 2.52GAA / 91.9 SV%
Luo - 2.44GAA / 90.4 SV%
Henrik - 2.07GAA / 92.8 SV%
I would say Reimer is a lot closer to Luo then he is to Henrik.
And yes, of those 3, Reimer plays on worst defensive team and therefore has to defend against better scoring chances but at the end of the day, Luo is a much steadier goaltender and has less weaknesses then Reimer (other then the biggest weakness of all - his contract). - Cooshie
.9 away from Henrik, 1.5 away from Luo.
GAA is more of a team stat than SV% is[img][/img].
The other thing worth noting- Riemer is the youngest of the three. |

Moore alone should have played 19 minutes, thats absolute horse crap. - aecliptic
You have to wonder how these guys can get off a plane, get to the Garden 15 minutes before warm-ups and light it up, and then be stapled to the bench a few days later. |

Brassard and Moore got a collective total of 19 minutes tonight. - Pete V
Tortorella showing his heavy handed coaching ways once again. Double shifting Richards and playing Del Zotto over 20+ minutes. |

At the risk of sounding like a homer- You see the same thing with Kessel.
Traded out of Boston because he wouldn;t buy into the defensive system, but started paying attention to it last year... and he's gotten pretty good at it this year. - Feeling Glucky?
still a minus player... |

All trolling, kidding aside... Reimer have you guys excited? I think if you had Lu I'd feel more confident - Slimtj100
No way. That contract is brutal.
Reims only has like 5 regulation loses.... I think with 3 shut outs. He has a terrible glove hand and loses sight of the puck sometimes but you know what? He gets the job done in the end of the day. He's young... he has time to get better. |

Because Tortorella is entirely incapable of distributing ice time sufficiently. |

I wish half the Rangers flamed out by being tied for the lead league in goals scored. |

My fav sport by 100 miles - Slimtj100
I truly believe its because of the media. If ESPN gave a (frank) about hockey it would be top 4. Guys like Jim Rome rave about hockey in the playoffs and how awesome it is, but hes an honest sports guy. Canadians would be lying if they said they want hockey to be popular in the states, but at the same time its a little sad that such a great game gets so little recognition. |

Common sense is also something he doesnt have.
If Moore made the plays DZ made today, not only would he have been stapled to the bench, he would be on the first bus to CT... but instead DZ continued to get played on the top pair. |

DZ had a terrible game. Absolutely brutal, but he has earned the right to have one of those games every once in awhile.
But, some said it earlier, when MDZ is bad, he's really bad. |

He had a tale of two seasons, which is strange considering how short it is. That 5-1 win we had there he was down right awful. But he is man on fire right now tho |

Yea, but the coach has to recognize it and make the right call. You cant let the guy continue to play against Toronto's top guys if you know hes having an off game... dont care if he earned the right to have one or not, its about winning games, not making guys feel good. |

It really is. The top sports station here has 2 ranger fans out of like 30 guys you here. Boomer esiason is like we are here. I believe he has season tix, he talks hockey. And Steve Somers. The main guys on the station have little to no clue about hockey. But we know how great a sport it is. |

Torts likely should have benched him for a bit, but he has been the team's best d-man since Staal got hurt and his offensive skills gives him a bit more latitude than others |

Well since they acquired John Moore, DZ isnt the only guy with some serious skating ability and hands... and I think he should have been given an opportunity to take a few shifts from DZ to let DZ clear his head.
PS: Moore got the primary assist on Nash's second goal with a sexy long pass. |

Garth in his blog called them the "reeling" Rangers, did I miss the 3-0-1 week last week or was it a mirage? Half tempted to respond but too much work to do to get into a war of words with an unarmed combatant |
