Richards played most of this season without legs, however Im happy to say that it atleast looks like hes trying after the deadline.
- aecliptic

That's how sad his season has been, we have to settle for him actually skating well and getting more chances offensively.

So doubtful for the playoffs?
- XxHarounXx

We don't know. It was a pretty nasty injury. I guess early indications are he will be back for the playoffs, we miss his minutes and consistency. He was just starting to really jump in the play and provide offensive production too...

Not if their defense played like it did tonight.
- MidnightMarauder

I agree with that. Del Zotto looked off, maybe a bit gunshy after that poop earlier this week?

Doesn't even look like we are trolling. We save that for the Canucks, sens and Habs.

I knew Nash would be a good fit. He's one of those players that will ring it every night. He's a keeper for sure. The new guys played okay for the Rangers tonight but if Gaborik was still on the team it coulda easily been an OT game.
- Arctic_AARDVARK

Team is better without Gaborik, now.

His numbers of not being so good are pretty equal to Reimers numbers of being pretty good....
I gotta say it - Reimer definitely doesn't exude confidence in the way he plays...he just seems to give up to many head scratchers while making those huge saves too. IMHO Luo's basement is pretty close to Reimers ceiling...

- Cooshie

The difference between Riemer's and Luongo's numbers is bigger than the difference between Riemer and Lundqvist.

And Toronto, while better defensively, isn't exactly at NY's level.

Gaborik would not have made a difference. He is an absolute no show and wouldn't have taken this game to anywhere than what it actually turned out to be.

No, he's had these brain dead moments throughout his young career. When Del Zotto is bad he is off the charts bad.

Tonight is a good example of why they can't, if they play wide open there will be much more running around...

maybe in the long run.. I think they had too many stars with Gaborik. It was smart to move him, hopefully brassard pans out.

Refusing to backcheck after easily losing the puck in neutral ice.

Just for clarity- I meant Toronto's defensive game is better than it used to be.

You guys seemed pissed that guys weren't getting cleared from infront of the net.

Leafs have been really, really bad at that playing the high paced game. The good news is, they are keeping the shots to the outside for the most part... but when somebody gets infront of the net, they're not getting any trouble from the Leafs dmen.

It's hard when we have to deal with scum like you. But the Rangers defense was poor tonight, no sugar coating needed.
- tomburton99

Scum?? Ouch man, that really hurts...

maybe you should go back and read what that douche was talking to get this all going...but that would just be to convenient I suppose.

Brassard has looked alright, kind of cooled off the last two games. These trades make the Rangers better than they were beforehand but good enough to be considered a serious playoff threat? That remains to be seen.

The good thing is they don't need Brassard to be the top line center like they were hoping for in Columbus. He can come here, play the 3rd line and powerplay. Should help him settle down and play his game without the enormous pressure on him

Nope, 40+ twice but he was equal parts disappointing as well. His effort level is pathetic, nobody questions his talent though. He is not a well rounded player though, if he is not scoring he is pretty much a useless hockey player.
